Abstract:

A scraper for scraping a coating from a coupon, card, or ticket is disclosed which, in one aspect, has a scraping apparatus rotated by a motor mounted in a housing with a ticket holder into which a coated ticket, etc. , is inserted. Rotation of the scraping apparatus scrapes the coating from the ticket. Apparatus is provided, in certain embodiments, to inhibit egress of scraped material from the scraper and a storage/collection member is also provided to receive the scraped material. Audio playback apparatus is provided to give announcements to a user of the apparatus.
