Boston Bound: Chicago couple determined to run and remember
There was shock and it was confusing, said Jessica Murphy, 31, who finished running about 40 minutes before the first blast. You started to see people react as they got the news. We walked by a restaurant and people were gathered outside the windows, looking at a television to see what happened. After they learned what happened through phone calls, text messages and people around them, they hurried to their hotel. Jessica Murphy was limping and struggling to walk after her gruesome 3 hour and 46 minute run, she said. The couple didnt suffer any physical or emotional trauma related to the eThings like this happen, but we cant let it change us from the way we live our lives, Jessica Murphy said. That was an isolated incident and I have no doubt the city will do what they need to protect the route. The explosions wont keep up from running and returning to Boston, just like 9-11 did
