Abstract:
A device and method for providing an optical guide of a pixel to guide incoming light to/from a photo-conversion device of the pixel to improve the optical crosstalk immunity. The optical guide includes an optically reflecting barrier formed as a trench filled with a material which produces reflection. The trench fill material may have an index of refraction that is less than the index of refraction of the material used for the trench surrounding layers to provide a light reflective structure or the trench fill material may provide a reflection surface.
Scene Illumination Adaptive Lens Shading Correction For Imaging Devices
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for scene adaptive lens shading correction. One or more gain adjustment surfaces calibrated to a reference illuminant type is stored. At least one scene adjustment surface, which varies as a function of the illuminant type, is stored for each additional illuminant type for which lens shading correction is desired. Additionally, an imaging device with a color image sensor may define a gain adjustment surface and a scene adjustment surface for each of the color channels of the image sensor. Scene adaptive lens shading correction entails determining an illuminant type for a captured image, selecting a scene adjustment surface based on the determined illuminant type, and processing the image using a gain adjustment surface modified by the scene adjustment surface.

Abstract:
Techniques are provided to generate a transmit power plan comprising transmit powers to be used by wireless access point devices in a wireless network. A wireless network controller receives, from each of a plurality of wireless access point devices configured to provide wireless service in corresponding coverage areas to client devices, data indicating receive signal strength information with respect to signals received from others of the plurality of wireless access point devices. Overlap of coverage areas of wireless access point devices is computed from the received signal strength information. A plurality of candidate transmit power plans are generated each from a deterministic or random sequence of selections of wireless access point devices. One of the plurality of candidate transmit power plans is selected to achieve a desired amount of coverage area overlap while maximizing overall coverage by the plurality of wireless access point devices.
Methods, Apparatuses And Systems Providing Pixel Value Adjustment For Images Produced With Varying Focal Length Lenses

Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses and systems are disclosed for providing pixel value corrections in accordance with the focal length of a variable focal length lens used to capture an image. Two or more adjustment surfaces, each corresponding to a focal length of said lens, are stored. If an image is captured using a focal length of the lens which does not correspond to a stored adjustment surface, an interpolated or extrapolated adjustment surface is determined and applied to a captured image.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus is provided for populating and submitting electronic forms by proxy over a data-packet-network. The apparatus comprises a software application running on a system of network-connected servers that enables a user, connected in session with one of the servers, to navigate to a site containing an electronic form and obtain data about the site and about the form. The data obtained is used in conjunction with data about the user to construct a machine readable job order upon user request that may be executed for the purpose of automatic form population and submission to a host sponsoring the site. Upon acceptance of the submitted form, data used for passwords, log-in codes and user-names is returned to a data repository where it is entered along with specific site data as a new registered site item for a registering user such that future navigation to the site, auto log-in and data return may be performed automatically on behalf of the user.

Abstract:
Compositions and methods are provided for the cell-free synthesis of active reprogramming factor polypeptides. The reprogramming factors may be synthesized as fusion proteins comprising a permeant domain, such as polyarginme. The cell free-synthesis may be conducted at about 25 C in a bacterial cell extract from genetically alterd cells having decreased endogenous protease activity Further, the proteins may comprise a fusion partner which enhances solubility and may be refolded on a column.

Abstract:
The nuclear reprogramming of somatic cells with non-integrating factors is shown to be greatly accelerated by activation of innate immune responses in the somatic cell. Methods of activating innate immunity include activation of toll-like receptors, e.g. TLR3. Somatic cells with activated innate immune responses can be reprogrammed to induced pluripotent cells or to transdifferentiated cells.
