A method and system implementing a process for content synchronization that detects and prevents synchronization recursion in CDS transfer operations. Abstract:

In one embodiment, a method for monitoring events in a home network is provided. The method includes receiving a subscription request from a control point, wherein the subscription request indicates one or more event variables to monitor for the control point. Then a change is detected in an event variable. Then, it is determined if the event variable has been indicated by the control point as an event variable to monitor for the control point. If so, then the control point is notified of the change in the event variable.

Abstract:

In one embodiment, a method for monitoring events in a home network is provided. A node receives a subscription request from a control point, wherein the subscription request indicates an interest in delayable eventing. A change is detected in an event variable. It is then determined if the control point can receive an event sent from the node. If the control point cannot receive an event sent from the node, an event notification regarding the change in the event variable is stored such that the event notification can be retrieved when the control point can receive communications from the node.

Abstract:

A system and method for reclaiming descriptors in a separate process (e.g., thread) from one in which packets are posted to a descriptor ring. The packet-posting process need not be interrupted to reclaim used descriptors, thereby reducing the delay in transmitting packets through a communication interface. The descriptor reclamation process, which may execute on a separate processor from the packet-posting process, may remain quiescent as long as the ring is less than half full or there are no descriptors to reclaim. Then, both processes may operate in parallel.

Abstract:

An error associated with a read operation corresponding to a memory die of a memory subsystem is detected. In response to detecting the error, a first read throughput level of the memory subsystem is identified. A quantity of queues receiving operation requests is decreased, the decreased quantity of queues corresponding to a second read throughput level. A read retry operation associated with the memory die is initiated at the second read throughput level.

Systems and methods are presented for carrying out a task to an expanded group of users on behalf of a third party. In operation, an online service receives task information corresponding to a task from a third party. Additionally, the online service receives a seed group of users from the third party. The online service determines an intersection between the seed group of users and the online service's corpus of users. This intersection of users is then used to identify an expanded set of users of the online service's corpus of users. The online service then carries out the task on behalf of the third party, targeting the expanded set of users.
