Abstract:
Apparatus for inspecting lean of a container includes a light source positioned beneath a container for directing light energy onto the container bottom as the container is held in position and rotated around an axis. A light sensor positioned beneath the container receives portions of the light energy from the source reflected from the container bottom. An information processor is coupled to the light sensor for determining, as a combined function of the reflected light energy and container rotation, departure of the container bottom from a plane perpendicular to the axis. The container preferably is held in position and rotated around an axis by a drive roller that urges the container against axially spaced backup rollers so as to define an average axis of rotation as a function of the geometry of the container and spacing between the backup rollers.

Abstract:
An electro-mechanical system, the system comprising a first surface with an electrically activated electrode coupled to the first surface and to an electrical source to receive a first signal. The system further comprising a moveable structure suspended at a first height over the first surface, the moveable structure being attracted toward the electrode based upon the first signal, and the moveable structure being attracted toward the first surface through an interaction with one or more parasitic forces. The systems also provides a landing post coupled to the moveable structure, the landing post being adapted to contact the base of the landing post against the first surface when the electrically activated electrode receives a predetermined voltage bias associated with the first signal, thereby maintaining an outer portion of the moveable structure free from physical contact with the first surface and reducing a magnitude of one or more parasitic forces.

Abstract:
A clock driving circuit and a method of driving a plurality of output lines for a PC architecture are disclosed. The clock driving circuit includes a clock generating circuit coupled to an output buffer for the PC having a plurality of output lines connected to a plurality of output loads having output load impedances. The output lines are driven differentially at an output voltage lower than a supply voltage. The circuit includes a voltage node having a voltage node impedance. The voltage node is maintained at substantially the output voltage. The circuit includes a current sinking transistor that sinks current from the voltage node. The current sinking transistor is operated in a linear region characterized by an ohmic resistance determined by the size of the current sinking transistor. The impedance of the voltage node is matched to one of the load impedances by sizing the current sinking transistor.

Abstract:
A method of sputtering a copper seed layer and the target used therewith. The copper included in the sputtering target includes a first dopant reactive with copper and a second dopant unreactive with copper. Examples of the first dopant include Ti, Mg, and Al. Examples of the second dopant include Pd, Sn, In, Ir, and Ag. The amount of the first dopant may be determined by testing stress migration and that of the second dopant by testing electromigration.

Using Camera Signatures From Uploaded Images To Authenticate Users Of An Online System

Abstract:
Users of an online system are authenticated based on signatures of cameras that were used to capture images uploaded to the online system. Users of an online system upload photos taken from their cameras. The online system extracts characteristic information about the camera that captured the photos. This information includes a mapping of faulty pixels, metadata included with the photos, a naming convention, and the like. The online system stores an association between the user and the camera. This association is used for authentication of the user. For authentication, the user is asked to upload new photos taken from the camera that the user used previously. The information extracted from the newly uploaded photos is matched against stored information of cameras used previously by the user. The user is successfully authenticated if the camera used for the newly uploaded photos matches a previously stored camera.
Associating Cameras With Users Of A Social Networking System

Abstract:
Images uploaded by users of a social networking system are analyzed to determine signatures of cameras used to capture the images. A camera signature comprises features extracted from images that characterize the camera used for capturing the image, for example, faulty pixel positions in the camera and metadata available in files storing the images. Associations between users and cameras are inferred based on actions relating users with the cameras, for example, users uploading images, users being tagged in images captured with a camera, and the like. Associations between users of the social networking system related via cameras are inferred. These associations are used beneficially for the social networking system, for example, for recommending potential connections to a user, recommending events and groups to users, identifying multiple user accounts created by the same user, detecting fraudulent accounts, and determining affinity between users.
