Managers in the hospitality industry face enormous obstacles every time they sit down to schedule the service industry staff as well as the planning for clients that includes lodging, restaurants, event planning, and transportation. In addition time management is crucial for expediting the current events while planning and prospecting for future events. Time management is a tool that is essential to daily programs and production that lends to success.Listening- The best communicators in the world listen aggressively. Listening plays a key role in any communicative environment. All work environments can benefit from affective listening to clients, staff and colleagues. Catering is a discipline that requires excellent communication skills as each client, couple or associations are unique. What will ultimately achieve excellent customer service is how effectively you listen to the clients. Listening attentively opens the door for understanding information and finding insight in a work environment that ultimately is a foundation for true aloha.
