Description:
IS IT TIME TO BUY? That seems to be the number one question, but which agent will give you an honest answer is a better one. Everyone has motives, and sometimes agents' motives can get in the way of good decision making. I could write about my education or how many deals I've closed, but is that really what you want to hear? Of course not - you want honest answers, an agent who listens, and who will protect you in your investment. Have you ever heard of an agent talking his clients out of deals because he knew the market was a falling knife? I'm sure you know the answer to that one. It's a big fat NO, isn't it? Let me tell you about a client of mine named John. John was dead set on buying in the area. He contacted me with his concerns and wanted to see the property in question. I gladly scheduled him in, and stated we could go over the details while viewing the home. Turns out John was looking for an investment property, and had been eyeing a house a few streets down from his vaction home. He proceeded to state that the market had bottomed and he needed to captialize on the situation. I responded, "Well John, I think you contacted me because you want an honest and professional evalution, would this be correct?" "Yes," he stated, "of course". I replied, "Well John, the market has not hit bottom and here's why. For one, Alt-A loans are soon to reset and will be hitting the market, only adding fuel to the fire." I proceeded to list several other factors, and told him to read some of the articles that I had written about current market conditions. Needless to say John listened to my warnings and waited patiently. We ended up closing on the property six months later, saving John 30% percent on his investment. Not only did John and I build a friendship, but he is now one of my biggest advertisements. He states that a day doesn't go by where he didn't mention my name to someone. I believe that rewards come in many different ways, and yeah, sure, I could of let John buy the home when he wanted for a quick sale. But it wouldn't have been right or rewarding. Before becoming a Realtor I was involved in starting several successful businesses, one of which is a pre-school. Chutes 'n' Ladders is now in its third year, and employs twelve people in our local community. I'm very proficient in micro/macro economics, business, and of course real estate. I feel that only knowing one field, instead of knowing the over all picture limits my competitors. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me for a consultation.
