Abstract:

A method is provided for clients to locate and interact with Internet services fulfilling the clients needs. In an aspect, a client requests, to a broker, a specific language/component technology (communication proxy), and an application-level transport protocol. The broker matches a client request and an Internet service, and transmits metadata to the client enabling the client to locate the matched internet service communication proxy. In an aspect, the client downloads the requested communication proxy and dynamically interacts, at runtime, with an Internet service using the requested communication proxy, the communication proxy being local to the client. In an aspect, the client is relieved from having to develop a remote communications code.

Abstract:

Test cases are embedded in one or more routines in the code for a software program. Each test case may be designated with a keyword-like descriptor, and includes input and expected output values. A test code discovery and generation module generates test code for each test case, which then may be compiled and executed by a processor.

Abstract:

A transfer of runtime-based application code is described. According to one embodiment of the invention, the application code includes an application code segment. An application code segment tag identifies the application code segment. The application code segment is sent via a messaging protocol to a first server that processes the application code and returns the results.

Abstract:

Methods and apparatus to preemptively compile an application are disclosed. In an example method, at least one preemptive compilation thread (PCT) is generated. Data associated with at least one method of the application is identified in a preemptive compilation priority queue (PCPQ). The at least one method identified in the PCPQ is converted into native code by executing the PCT.
