Abstract:

An entertaining and informative method of displaying competitive product performance data is disclosed. The various embodiments include a method for displaying product performance data by use of animated contests between animated representatives of competing products. The contest results are relative to selected product test results. The relationship between the test results and the contest results is a mathematical approximation. Thus, a gross disparity in the displayed animated contest is indicative of a gross disparity in the performance of the products on the test. Likewise, a closely fought contest in the displayed animated contest is indicative of close performance of the products on the test.

Abstract:

The invention discloses jewelry made of disinfected, pulverized and chemically bonded primary teeth. The teeth are pulverized into two or more parts, located in a mold, and bonded with a bonding agent to form a tooth matrix that is shaped for connection to a jewelry frame. In another embodiment, a hollow interior of a deciduous tooth is filled with a bonding agent. The tooth is positioned in a mold with other tooth particles and bonded to form the tooth matrix. In another embodiment, the hollow interior and/or occlusal of a deciduous tooth is filled with a bonding agent to form a tooth matrix for mounting on a jewelry frame. A display side of the tooth is positioned adjacent to a display surface in a mold. A bonding agent fills the space between the tooth and the mold to form a solid tooth matrix. The solidified tooth matrix is machinable.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to a method of raising funds for an organization. In one embodiment, the organization distributes a solicitation to a buyer, or for delivery to a buyer by way of a child relative of the buyer. The solicitation comprises an offer to sell a jewelry article made from a processed exfoliated deciduous tooth of the child, set in a jewelry object, as a gemstone would be set. The buyer sends a payment for the jewelry article to the manufacturer, who sends a payment to the organization for having distributed a solicitation that was converted into a purchase. The buyer sends the exfoliated deciduous tooth to the manufacturer. The deciduous tooth is specially processed in a manner that allows it to be set in the buyer's selected jewelry object as a gemstone would be set to create the completed jewelry article.

Abstract:

A drag bit with a faceted profile and method of its manufacture by which the facets provide for planar mold surfaces upon which cores having planar ends can completely contact the surface of the mold. The invention is particularly though not exclusively adapted to matrix body drag bits incorporating PDC cutters having tungsten carbide studs or cylinders which are mounted in wings, ribs or blades of the bit body. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the wings, ribs or blades have a small planar surface or facet at each PDC cutter location with each of the facets being at a consistent angular disposition with respect to the axis of the corresponding cutter stud. The facets are created by flat mold surfaces which facilitate the proper positioning and angular disposition of the cores which form the openings in the matrix for receiving the PDC cutters. In the practice of the present invention, the facets or flats are formed in a hard mold during machining or in a soft mold by using a bit pattern having corresponding facets.

Abstract:

An earth boring drag bit is shown having polycrystalline diamond cutters mounted in cavities within the body thereof in a manner that, at the juncture of the dissimilar geometry of the cutters and the body, defines voids adjacent the cutters. These voids are filled with a powder tungsten carbide material to a level sufficient to eliminate the voids and is retained therein by a braze material infiltrated into the powder metal, thereby defining a wear-resistant continuous surface immediately adjacent the cutter element.
