Abstract:

Disclosed is a drone capable of operating in an aqueous environment. The drone may include a buoyant structure configured to provide buoyancy. Further, the drone may include one or more propulsion units configured to propel the drone. Furthermore, the drone may include an upper camera disposed on an upper side of the drone. Additionally, the drone may include a lower camera disposed on a lower side of the drone. Further, each of the upper camera and the lower camera may be configured to capture images. Furthermore, one or more legs configured to enable the drone to stand on a solid surface. Additionally, the drone may include one or more leg-actuators coupled to the one or more legs. Further, the one or more leg-actuators may be configured to change a state of the one or more legs to one of an extended state and a retracted state.

Abstract:

A system and method for remote guidance of a dog or other suitable animal to and from a selected location using GPS related triangulation methods. The system using a series of audible cues or electrical shocks to guide the dog from a current location to a target location by continually monitoring the current GPS location of the dog and establishing a waypoint target for the animal as it moves. The system issues cues such as audible signals to control the dog and keep it confined within a suitable corridor so that the next waypoint may be attained. Using the invention, a dog owner can control the movement of the dog as the owner moves in its proximity, thereby creating an invisible tether or “virtual leash” or to the animal.

Abstract:

The current invention is a system and method for certifying GPS locations on a land tract using consumer devices having standard GPS chipsets. The system takes a plurality of readings from at least four satellites into one or more sample sets. A smoothing function is used to remove outlier GPS values and a circular plot of spatial positions made. A center location of the plot is then calculated and recorded. The process is repeated and then compared to the first center calculation. If the difference is less than a predetermined certification value, the position can be certified as accurate. Various features in a land tract can be certified to the predetermined accuracy. For example, using the process to certify or correct errors in a shapefile representing the land tract, physical markers placed on the land tract, or environmental features of a land tract to lessen environmental impact during development.
