Abstract:

An applicator/dispenser for dispensing, mixing and/or applying a polymerizable monomeric adhesive or sealant material comprises: a body portion; an actuator movable relative to the body portion; a cavity in the body portion; and a piercing or breaking portion on the actuator. Movement of the actuator relative to the body portion moves the piercing or breaking portion into the cavity. When a container of adhesive or sealant material is at least partially disposed within the cavity, movement of the actuator relative to the body portion moves the piercing or breaking portion to rupture the container for mixing, dispensing and/or applying the adhesive or sealant material.

Abstract:

Improved fuel storage containers adapted for use with fuel cells comprise a rigid outer container associated with a flexible inner container in which a liquid is stored. The outer container generally comprises a port that allows transport of the filled inner container into the outer container. The flexible inner container can comprise a resealable connection that allows the liquid stored within the inner container to be accessed when the fuel storage container is inserted into a suitable fuel cell. Thus, the rigid outer container can be reused.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to a unique adjustable backrest. The vertical height of the backrest of the present invention may be adjusted with telescoping vertical supports. The backrest may be coupled to a seat via a unique hinge and mounting hardware. The angle of the backrest relative to the seat may be adjusted with a strap. A schedule of media content and communication services provisioned for the user is received, and an interactive menu is generated including selectable options for each of the provisioned media content and communication services. Provided are methods and devices for dissolving solid protein compositions, such as solid compositions comprising fibrinogen, in an aqueous solvent. The methods comprise use of a closed container containing a volume of solid fibrinogen composition and a head space wherein the pressure within the headspace is sub-atmospheric. Aqueous solvent is introduced into the container while maintain the sub-atmospheric pressure, and subsequent to addition of the solvent, the size of the headspace is decreased to bring the pressure to atmospheric pressure. The devices are suitable for use in the disclosed method.

An apparatus is provided to deliver carbon dioxide to an animal in a manner which allows the carbon dioxide to totally displace blood in an area of interest and to thus serve as a contrast media for angiographic procedures, or blood displacement media for angioscopic or laser procedures.
