Abstract:

The disclosure herein provides systems and methods for a media enhancement system configured to associate a secondary media signal (for example, the secondary media signal can comprise an advertisement) to a primary media signal (for example, a radio broadcast). The disclosure herein additionally provides systems and methods for a media enhancement system that enables the generating, transmitting, displaying, and/or responding to a plurality of associated and/or unassociated secondary media signals, based on a primary media content from a primary media signal, user characteristics (for example, demographic and/or geographic information), and/or third-party preferences (for example, the goals of advertisers). The secondary media signals can be used to enhance the primary media content already being provided to the user on a user device. The secondary media signals can also be used to create psychological associations or relationships with the primary media content already being provided to the user.

Selective delivery can be activated upon enabled device power up, by coming out of a low power “sleep” mode, by going into or out of an idle mode, when a new mode is selected, when new media is presented to the device (including by docking, inserting removable media and/or wireless delivery), when the enabled device is waiting for new media (by the same methods of docking, inserting removable media and/or wireless delivery), when a new channel is selected by the user, using an incremental and/or iterative measurement process monitored by internal software and/or by a database server on a network, starting a new application during some aspect of operation, which can be triggered by an alarm set within the device, and/or an alarm transmitted to the device and/or when it is believed it would be the optimum time to deliver the message to the user.

The various embodiments disclosed herein provide methods, systems, and devices for capturing broadcast streams, analyzing the broadcast streams to obtain information about the media content transmitted in the broadcast streams, obtaining additional information about the media content if available, and assigning a unique event identifier specific to the instance of broadcast of the broadcast stream and/or media segment transmitted in the broadcast stream. In other embodiments, the unique event identifier is broadcasted to broadcast receiving devices. With the unique event identifier, broadcast receiving devices can access the obtained information associated with the media content.

Abstract:

A reinforcing brace frame for providing lateral and seismic support when used in a multi-story light-gauge steel/wood framed building is disclosed. The reinforcing brace frame comprises a horizontally extending upper metallic frame member, a pair of spaced metallic frame members having a lower end and an upper end, at least one metallic diagonal member, a plurality of slots and at least one abutting tube having a proximal end and a distal end. The pair of spaced metallic frame members is vertically extended and rigidly connected at opposite ends of the upper metallic frame member to form a rigid upright tubular frame. The reinforcing brace frame is stacked and connected by means of the at least one abutting tube which is then bolted in place using at least one attachment means to secure subsequent reinforcing brace frames to resist lateral seismic loads.

Abstract:

A movable barrier operator system includes a barrier-motor electrical driver, a first input device for receiving operating commands, a second input device for developing system status and a controller for storing a record of all input commands received and a record of all events occurring to the movable barrier and for enabling operation of the electrical driver in response to an input command. The first input device may be a DTMF receiver or a telephone entry system. Events stored include barrier obstructions and barrier operator failures. The controller, responsive to a stored event, enable the telephone entry system to contact a service provider. For facilities with multiple barriers and a DTMF receiver at each operator, a special circuit normalizes the amplitude of a transient analog tone burst (such as from a DTMF transmission) without any transient level overshoot.
