Measurement Indicator For A Blender Cup Or The Like
A device for providing a visual indication of the amount of liquid or other materials in a blender cup or other receptacle is provided. The device is mounted on the rotatable impeller shaft in the base of the cup, and preferably is employed to affix the impeller to the shaft. Graduations formed as part of or provided on the device at appropriate locations provide a visual indication of the amount of ingredients introduced.

US Classification:
210176, 210260, 210258, 210202
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a desalination plant that operates with a sea water or brackish water feed and produces a concentrated and selectively improved salt reject stream and a pure water permeate stream from a first treatment section that is arranged to produce primarily water at high recovery using membrane desalination processes. The reject stream from the first treatment line has a component distribution that is substantially reduced in native di- and polyvalent scaling ions, essentially depleted of sulfate, has substantially higher total dissolved solids than a traditional sea water reverse osmosis reject, yet is suitable for thermal treatment processes. The system may be enhanced by monovalent salt components. The unit may be integrated with a second treatment section, in which the first reject stream is further concentrated, purified, and processed to produce a high purity salt product.

Nishith Vora - Bensalem PA, US Irving David Elyanow - Lexington MA, US Robert Lee Solomon - Seattle WA, US John Herbert - Marlborough MA, US Lanny D. Weimer - Ellicott City MD, US
A desalination plant for treating a sea water or brackish water feed is provided. The desalination plant includes a first treatment section to effectively remove scaling species, the first treatment section including nanofiltration section, the nanofiltration section including at least two stages and at least two passes; and a reverse osmosis section that operates at high recovery to produce a purified permeate stream and a selectively NaCl salt-enriched reject stream as a saline output.
Ice Shaver Safety Blade Cartridge For Beverage Blender

ISLAND OASIS FROZEN COCKTAIL CO., INC. - Walpole MA
International Classification:
F25C 5/12 F25C 5/04
US Classification:
241275, 241286
Abstract:
An ice shaver assembly includes an ice hopper and a blade cartridge having a blade and a body in which the blade is permanently affixed. The body has an upper surface above which the blade protrudes so as to shave ice passing along the upper surface. The body further has fastener-less mounting features configured to mount the blade cartridge on the ice hopper within an opening of the ice hopper.
Apparatus for efficiently preparing frozen drinks, such as frozen soft drinks and frozen cocktails, is disclosed. The apparatus includes apparatus for preparing frozen, semi-solid ice "slush". The output of the slush-making apparatus is delivered gradually to a blender cup in which additional ingredients of the drink have been added. The use of the slush rather than solid ice, and the gradual addition of the slush, prevents burn-out of the blender motor while reducing drink preparation time and ensuring a thorough blending of the drink ingredients.
An apparatus for preparing frozen drinks, in which an ice-shaving machine is combined with a blender in a single unit, the output of the ice-shaving machine being discharged directly into the blender cup. The ice-shaver and the blender are electrically wired together, and programmable timing means are provided to permit selective control of the periods of time over which the ice-shaver and blender operate, so that, by the momentary activation of a single switch button, the apparatus may be activated and will automatically deliver the appropriate amount of ice to the blender cup and will turn on the blender at the appropriate time and for the appropriate amount of time.
Blender Cup With Pivotable Measuring Device Mounted Therein
An improved blender cup having a measuring device mounted within the cup and pivotably movable so that the device may conveniently receive an ingredient while in one position, and then may be readily pivoted to a second position whereby the ingredient is emptied into the blender cup. The device is preferably removable to facilitate repair, replacement, and cleaning.
