Abstract:

A rotary-blade cutting apparatus which includes a spring-biased cutting-blade cover. The cover is spring biased to a closed position and includes a projection for manually applying a hold-open force to rotate and hold the spring-biased cover in an open or retracted position in a cutting-blade chassis. The handle of the apparatus is angled to provide for a more comfortable grip.

Abstract:

A pressure foot for minimizing puckering or bunching of biasing fabric and a cloth item, garment or quilt when being sewn or finished. The pressure foot includes a laterally displaced inner foot displaced from the inner feed dog of the sewing machine and a bias guide between the inner and outer feet. The pressure foot is adapted to be used alone or in combination with a bias binder sewing aid that automatically folds the biasing fabric. The pressure foot and bias binder sewing aid form a kit for sewing biasing fabric to an unfinished edge of a cloth item, garment, quilt or the like.

A pressure foot assembly for minimizing puckering or bunching of quilt or fabric when being sewn or during other contour sewing. The assembly includes a non-rotating or non-walking pressure foot that has a laterally displaced inner foot from the inner feed dog of the machine. The assembly may include a rotating or âwalkingâ pressure foot recessed under the base and outer pressure foot. The assembly includes a cloth guide to laterally limit the movement of the fabric in the direction of the inner foot.

Abstract:

A quilt holding clamp for securing a quilt and finishing bias to eliminate the need for pining when attaching the finishing bias to the unfinished edge of the quilt. The clamp includes a top clamp member having a “J”-shaped forward end for elevating a folded end of the finishing bias above the quilt. A bottom clamp member is provided with a “L”-shaped forward end. A “U”-shaped spring biases the “J”-shaped forward end and the “L”-shaped forward end together. The “L”-shaped forward end provides a recess for recessing multiple layers of the folded finishing bias.

In a structure with two oppositely positioned sides, a unibody support apparatus includes a first preformed side support in the approximate form of a “C” and a second preformed side support in the approximate form of a “C”.
