Abstract:

A light emitting inflatable safety beacon is disclosed for identifying a location of the beacon. The beacon comprises an elongated bladder defining an interior chamber extending between an upper end and a lower end. A tether extends between a first end and a second end. A couple links the tether with the elongated bladder for suspending the tether within the interior chamber. A light source is secured to the tether for emitting an electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation internally illuminates the elongated bladder for creating an illuminated beacon. The electromagnetic radiation traverses the elongated bladder for creating a location beacon.

Abstract:

A cooking process which demonstrates improved cooking efficiency of foodstuffs, improves the quality of such food and enhances the safety of food for consumption by mammals, especially humans. The process utilizes a treatment of foodstuff with an aqueous ozone solution combined with a cooking process to provide a synergistic effect on the killing rates of microorganisms as well as a reduction of the level of microorganisms on and in such foodstuffs. The method comprises sanitizing/disinfecting the foodstuff using an aqueous solution containing an effective amount of ozone, which comprises forming an aqueous solution of ozone, and contacting the foodstuff with the aqueous solution, and subsequently subjecting the foodstuff to a cooking process. The foodstuff is generally contacted with the aqueous solution for a time sufficient to substantially sanitize or disinfect the foodstuff. Optionally, the foodstuff may be packaged before or after the cooking process. The use of an aqueous ozone treatment process for foodstuffs, in conjunction with a cooking process provides a multi-technology approach to reducing the level of microorganisms associated with foodstuffs. The process therefore allows food processors to reduce the amount of cooking needed, i.e., temperature and/or time of cooking, with a resulting enhancement in food quality and safety.

Abstract:

The present invention is a foamable alcohol having at least one active ingredient. The active ingredient can be a prescription or non-prescription drug or medication. It either works on the skin or is absorbed transdermally and works on the body. Alcohol, such as ethyl alcohol is combined with a fluoro-surfactant, at least one active ingredient and water. Optionally, inactive ingredients can be added. The fluoro-surfactant reduces the surface tension of the alcohol allowing it to be foamed without reducing the effectiveness of the alcohol as a carrier for the active ingredient or the efficacy of the active ingredient(s). The inventive mixture foams when dispensed as an aerosol or pumped through a foam pump. The pump or other dispenser doses the alcohol. The foam is easy to apply, and liquefies as a user smears it on a surface.

Abstract:

An improved process for the concurrent, low temperature cleaning and sanitation of solid surfaces is provided. This process involves introducing a cryogen and an antimicrobial liquid into a vessel, thereby creating an immersion bath. A sterilant is then introduced into this immersion bath.
