Abstract:

A radio receiver has a radio tuner having a radio frequency input and an audio output, and an audio signal amplifying system having an audio input and an electroacoustical transducing output. A volume controller is coupled to the radio tuner and the audio amplifying system. A microprocessor is coupled to the tuner, volume controller, a visible display and an array of controls. The microprocessor is constructed and arranged to respond to actuation of the controls to cause the tuner to be tuned to a selected radio frequency, cause the display to display the frequency to which said radio tuner is tuned, cause the volume controller to set the sound level from the electroacoustical transducing output and cause the display to display a quantity representative of the volume to which the volume controller is then set and further constructed and arranged to respond to actuation of the controls to selectively couple the radio tuner audio output to the audio input while initially setting the sound level to zero when the signal on the audio output coupled to the audio input begins and gradually increasing the sound level to a predetermined value and reducing the sound level to zero when the signal on the audio output then coupled to the audio input ends.

Abstract:

A guitar multi-effects pedalboard is provided. The pedalboard has one or more footswitches, an electronic display, and a memory storing guitar-effect presets for processing an inputted guitar signal when the processing is triggered by pressing a footswitch. The presets include signal chains with two or more guitar-effect pedal simulators that simulate two or more guitar-effect pedals. The pedalboard also has one or more processors coupled to the electronic display and the memory. The processors are configured to process an inputted guitar signal when the processing is triggered by pressing a footswitch. The processors are also configured to display, on the electronic display, an image of the signal chains, which includes an image of pedals and an image of existing simulated connections between pedals. Signal routing in the signal chain may be changed by touching the image of a pedal and dragging the image to a destination position.

A step sequencer with a four by sixteen grid of buttons is disclosed. The sequencer is used to generate patterns of sounds on different channels. The sequencer can be used as a hardware controller to control music production software. A joystick assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a retaining plate that has a bore through a central axis. Four microswitches are secured to the retaining plate around the bore. The microswitches each have a switch element facing towards the central axis. A housing is secured to the retaining plate wherein the bore on the retaining plate and the bore on the housing are aligned. A joystick with a shaft is received into the bore on the housing and is configured and arranged to selectively activate the switch elements of the microswitches when deflected.
