Abstract:

An interchangeable electro-mechanical lock core for use with a lock device having a locked state and an unlocked state is disclosed. The interchangeable electro-mechanical lock core may include a moveable plug having a first position relative to a lock core body which corresponds to the lock device being in the locked state and a second position relative to a lock core body which corresponds to the lock device being in the unlocked state. The interchangeable electro-mechanical lock core may include a core keeper moveably coupled to a lock core body. The core keeper may be positionable in a retain position wherein the core keeper extends beyond an envelope of lock core body to hold the lock core body in an opening of the lock device and a remove position wherein the core keeper is retracted relative to the envelope of the lock core body to permit removal.

Abstract:

An exemplary electric strike includes a housing and a keeper pivotally mounted in the housing. The strike also includes a plunger having an extended position and a retracted position, a cage including an aperture, and a locking element movably seated in the aperture. The locking element is engaged with the plunger, and the plunger is structured to urge the locking element radially outward as the plunger moves from an extended position toward a retracted position. The strike also includes a sleeve, a transmission engaged with the sleeve, and a motor drivingly coupled to the transmission. The sleeve is structured to selectively prevent radially outward movement of the locking element and retraction of the plunger. The strike also includes at least one of a lost motion connection and an anti-tamper mechanism.

Abstract:

An assembly for adjusting a cable that includes a locking sleeve and an adapter that is connected to the cable. The adapter includes male and female-threaded portions that are coupled together. The locking sleeve is configured to be displaced between engagement and disengagement positions. When in the engagement position, securing devices of the male and female-threaded portions engage inner sections of the locking sleeve in a manner that prevents the male and female-threaded portions from being rotated relative to each other, thereby preventing a change in the length of the adapter so as to prevent an adjustment of the cable. When the cable is to be adjusted, the locking sleeve is displaced to disengagement position such that the securing device of either the male or female-threaded portion is disengaged from the locking sleeve, thereby allowing rotation of the male or female-threaded portions relative to each other.

Abstract:

An damping device for an exit device that is configured to resist high velocity movement a latch assembly relative to a baseplate assembly. Pivotal displacement of a bell crank during typical operation of the exit device may cause a protrusion of the bell crank to exert a pulling force on control linkage element that is coupled to a connection link of a latch assembly and a spring damper element of the damper device, thereby operating the latch assembly while also generally by-passing the damping effect of the damping device. When high velocity movement is imparted on an entryway device associated with the exit device, the damper device resists high velocity movement of the latch assembly relative to the baseplate assembly, thereby at least attempting to prevent the latch assembly from moving independently of the baseplate assembly so as to prevent unlatching of a latch of the latch assembly.
