Abstract:

A novel euthanasia composition for animals, especially companion animals, utilizes a combination of sodium pentobarbital with dibucaine. The composition is easy to administer, fast-acting and relatively painless. A humane method for euthanasia involves administering the composition to animals for which euthanasia is desired.

Abstract:

A device for properly aligning and registering a display panel onto an adhesive backing panel to create a display article is provided, as well as a method and kit for such registration. The alignment device comprises a base having two wall portions which define an area within the base that is geometrically congruent to the display and backing panels. The wall portions are skewed with respect to one another, defining limit stops against which the display and backing panels can be placed to inhibit their movement and enable proper registration. The alignment device is preferably made out of a unitary construction of plastic, with the base having an arcuate cut-out along its perimeter. A method for registering the display panel on the backing to create a display article provides for proper placement of the panels into the alignment device. A kit includes a plurality of backing panels with adhesive layers, and an alignment device.

Abstract:

A shelf divider adapted to support and organize objects located on the shelf. The shelf divider includes an upper and a lower web portion adapted to be positioned against the exposed edges surface of the shelf, a base plate extending perpendicularly from the upper web and a clamp arm extending from the lower web in opposed relation to the base plate. The clamp arm is movable between a closed position and an open position. The clamp arm is biased toward the closed position so that, when in the mounted state, the clamps free-end portion bears against the lower surface of the shelf. The base plate has connected to it a relatively flat divider panel. The divider panel is adapted to have sides which are in facing relationship with the objects of the shelf. Further, the divider panel includes stiffening ribs on each side of the divider panel. The stiffening ribs project outwardly from the divider plane to resist deflection of the divider panel when it is mounted on the shelf.

Abstract:

The present invention relates to a holder device that is mountable on a support and adapted to removeably secure elongated writing implements thereto. The holder device includes a base portion adapted to mount on the support and a pair of wing portions extending away from the base portion and converging toward on another to terminate in a free wing edge so that the wing portions and the base portion define a longitudinally extending channel sized to receive an elongated writing implement. The channel has a longitudinal mouth located between the wing edges whereby the writing implement may be inserted through the mouth into the channel. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention the channel has grooves therein to permit a variety of sizes of writing implements to be mounted. The invention includes alternative mounting structure, one embodiment has an adhesive layer on the base portion; another embodiment includes a clip structure for removeably mounting the device.

Abstract:

A rapid cleaning and disinfecting method and composition for ophthalmic devices, e. g. contact lenses. The composition includes, on a weight basis, 10-50% of a C. sub. 3-8 alkylene glycol, 2-30% of a lower alkanol, 2-15% of a surfactant, 0-2% pH adjusting agent, 0-5% tonicity builder, viscosity enhancing agent in an amount from 0 to the amount required to bring the solution viscosity to 100 cps, and the balance water. The method involves mechanically rubbing the ophthalmic device with the cleaning/disinfecting composition followed by rinsing the device.
