All of the pairs of insulated telephone lines in a long line cable are spliced at the same intervals and the splices are situated in junction boxes where linemen can have access to both junctions of each pair. Each line splice consists of a metallic splice bar forced into electrical contact with each of the parallel, spaced-apart ends of the line, the splice bar and both line ends being encased in a splice body of plastic, dielectric material which is provided with an access opening through to the splice bar between the spaced apart lines. A continuity check probe of the invention includes a metallic hook-shape rod having a short finger of shape and dimension to pass through the body access opening to contact the splice bar when a parallel, spaced-apart long finger of the rod lies in parallel, adjacent relation to the splice body. The long finger of the probe rod carries a compression coil spring acting between the outer end of the long finger and the insulating body to hold the short rod finger firmly against the splice bar. The spliced line can then be tested by fastening the test instrument to the hook-shape rod.

Muzzleloader systems include a pre-packaged propellant charge and primer for providing efficient loading and unloading of the muzzleloader. The muzzleloader accepts in the breech end the propellant containment vessel that abuts against a constriction portion with a reduced diameter portion. The propellant containment vessel having an end portion with a tapered surface that conforms to the constriction portion surface. A projectile is inserted in the muzzle end and seats against the constriction portion. The propellant containment vessel may be received in a removable breech plug. The constriction portion may be part of the breech plug or a separate component secured in the barrel by way of the breech plug. The containment vessel further comprises a primer mechanism that may be integrated into the proximal end of the containment vessel.

Abstract:
A bullet assembly comprising a bullet and a cup assembly, the cup assembly may have a ring portion for scraping the barrel of a muzzleloader. The cup assembly may be slidable on the bullet with an extended position and a contracted position, the contracted position having a greater diameter than the extended position. A contraction inhibiting member that requires shearing off of the member for contraction may be disposed on one of the components.

Abstract:
A bullet system including a bullet body with a tail portion engaged with a polymer cup that provides enhanced engagement of the barrel upon firing. The bullet system may have a radial retracted state that corresponds to an elongated axial state of the bullet system that allows the cupped bullet to be fed down the barrel at a reduced diameter with reduced engagement with the barrel. The radial expansion of the bullet system occurs upon axial length reduction of the bullet system by axial compression. The axial compression can occur upon firing of the propellant or when loading with the ramrod. The bullet system can provide a tactile seat force indicator tip insert within the tip of the bullet body that provides a tactile sensation when the bullet is properly seated against the propellant charge. A cutting edge may be provided for scraping the barrel upon insertion of the bullet.

Abstract:
Muzzleloader systems include a pre-packaged propellant charge and primer for providing efficient loading and unloading of the muzzleloader. The breech end accepts the propellant and means are provided to prevent breech loading of the projectile. A propellant cartridge conforms to a constriction portion to minimize ullage. A projectile is inserted in the muzzle end seats on the constriction portion. The propellant cartridge may be received in a removable breech plug. The constriction portion may be part of the breech plug or a separate component secured in the barrel by way of the breech plug. The cartridge may have a primer mechanism integrated into a proximal end. Projectiles have sliding components that have an axial elongate position and an axial shortened position and may be loaded with a ramrod having an engagement portion for each of the two pieces whereby the projectile doesn't prematurely collapse.

North Korea's Kim ' behind sacking' of powerful uncle
Within the current leadership, he (Jang) seems to be the face of economic reform, so there is a risk involved with removing someone that close to the programme, said John Swenson-Wright, a senior fellow at Chatham House, a London-based international affairs think tank.
