A method for facilitating a financial decision for 4-dimensional navigation of a vehicle includes receiving navigation information for the vehicle. A current location of the vehicle is determined. Data associated with at least one predetermined location of a plurality of predetermined locations is retrieved. A range of costs for said vehicle, representative of the at least one predetermined arrival time for the at least one predetermined location, is estimated. The range of costs is associated with a minimum value of the navigational information and a maximum value of the navigational information. A system for displaying throttle settings to an aircraft operator includes, but is not limited to, a display unit, a data storage unit configured to store aircraft and airport data, an operator input unit configured to receive thrust related information from the aircraft operator, an aircraft sensor configured to detect an aircraft condition, and a processor. The processor is communicatively connected to each of the above components and is configured to obtain therefrom the aircraft data, the airport data, the thrust related information, and the aircraft condition. The processor is also configured to calculate a first thrust requirement based on the aircraft data, the airport data, the thrust related information, and the aircraft condition, and to provide commands to the display unit to display either the first thrust requirement.
