Abstract:

Cellulose materials and methods of making the cellulose materials are described herein. The method can include contacting a cotton fabric with an oxidizing system to obtain an oxidized cotton material and processing the oxidized cotton material to form the cellulose material. The oxidizing system can include an aqueous mixture of a N-oxyl compound and a hypochlorite compound. During oxidation, the p11 of the aqueous mixture can be maintained at from 8.5 to 11. Cellulose products can be formed from the cellulose materials. For example, the cellulose products can be used to form a packaging material, a biomedical device or implant, a drug delivery material, a fiber, a textile material, a template for electronic components, or a separation membrane. Methods of making the cellulose product include dissolving or suspending an active ingredient in a medium comprising the cellulose material.

Abstract:

The present disclosure provides cover systems for covering components of a cabin interior of a vehicle, such as an automobile, a train car, a bus, a boat, or an aircraft, among others. For instance, the cover systems may cover one or more of a seat and a floor, among others, of the cabin interior. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb one or more of low-frequency sounds, such as low-frequency noise emitted by an engine, and high-frequency sounds, among others. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb odor molecules. The fabric covering systems may include multiple layers. For instance, one of the layers may include activated carbon fibers. The activated carbon fibers may absorb or partially absorb one or more of sounds, liquids, and odors, among others.

Abstract:

A platform-agnostic conferencing system including a media transceiver allowing a virtual collaboration and sharing system allowing a publisher to share media content to multiple viewers. Multiple participants are able to view the shared media, even if each is using different and incompatible platforms, by negotiating connections from differing protocols. Illustrative protocols include, but are not limited to, WebRTC, Flash, and HLC. Additionally, a mixer “multicasts” the content from one user and facilitates the retransmission to the participating differing end-users. Participant identities include an identifier for each participant engaging the collaboration space. The participants occupying the collaboration space can be automatically and dynamically determined. In this way participant roles can be changed from “publisher” to “viewer” and vice versa.
