Abstract:

A computer graphics and analysis application improvement providing calculation, regeneration, and display of mechanism solutions based on inputted desired functions such as part positions by extracting functional requirements data from such inputted data so that the designer or engineer can view the mechanism solutions in space and thereby design the desired mechanism or mechanisms. The computing application extracts the functional requirements data (such as point and angular references) from the inputted function data, such as part positions. Using the inputted data, the computing application calculates, generates, and displays mechanism solutions based on the function or functions and provides the engineer or designer with meaningful visualization of how the mechanism would work, for example by showing how the part would move through desired positions in space, in addition to including the mechanism's or mechanisms' motion path, coupler curve, and other visual data helpful to the engineer in the design of the mechanism.

Abstract:

A method is performed at an electronic device with a display, one or more processors, volatile memory, and non-volatile memory that stores one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors. The method includes periodically comparing an amount of free volatile memory to a threshold level. The amount of free volatile memory is compared to the threshold level with a first periodicity when the display is off and with a second periodicity that is shorter than the first periodicity when the display is on. The method also includes, in response to a determination that the amount of free volatile memory does not satisfy the threshold level, deallocating volatile memory by terminating one or more processes based on priority levels of the one or more processes.

Abstract:

System and computer-implemented method for enabling end-user license enforcement of an application in a hybrid cloud system use data associated with at least one component of a public cloud computing environment of the hybrid cloud system to detect an environment-changing event involving at least one processing entity in the hybrid cloud system. Once the environment-changing event is detected, one or more operating environment identifiers are injected into the processing entity. The injected operating environment identifiers can then be accessed by an application in the processing entity to perform an end-user license check for enforcement.

Abstract:

Technology is provided for a wireless access device isolation cabinet for use in software testing on multiple mobile devices. The wireless access device isolation cabinet isolates each wireless access device and the mobile devices communicating with the wireless access device from other nearby wireless access devices. The wireless access device isolation cabinet can include an enclosure having a plurality of walls configured to enclose an isolation region. The walls are electrically conductive to shield electromagnetic interference from entering or exiting the isolation region. A wireless access device is disposed in the isolation region to communicate with one or more mobile devices. A device tray comprising a non-conductive panel and a pair of support beams is mounted within the isolation region and configured to support the mobile devices.

An electronic device with volatile memory repeatedly compares an amount of free volatile memory to a first predetermined threshold level of free volatile memory. When the device determines that the amount of free volatile memory is less than the first predetermined threshold level, the device deallocates volatile memory by terminating one or more processes based on predetermined priority levels of the one or more processes.

Abstract:

Technology is disclosed for segregating communications between a base station access point and a user device across the bands in accordance with various quality of service requirements. Universal broadcasts to client devices, low throughput communications (e.g., uplink communications), and initial user device detection may be accomplished using omnidirectional Television White Space (TVWS) broadcasts. Bandwidth intensive communications (e.g., downlink communications) may be handled with directional, beam-steered, WIFI channels. The base station may coordinate steering based upon user device information, such as location information. The technology includes improvements for beam forming, packet handling at the base station, and device association with the directional communications.
