In the mid 80’s I was honing my skills as a crafty negotiator/manager/talent coordinator at the “World Famous “ Palomino Club in North Hollywood, and so starts one of those wild nights in Rock & Roll history. It was February 19th 1987 and I had the musical artists Taj Mahal and Jesse Ed Davis scheduled to perform two shows that evening, what I did not negotiate on this magical evening was adding George Harrison, Bob Dylan and John Fogerty as an impromptu cast willing to treat the audience to varies unrehearsed rock and roll oldies. Some claim it was the first time John Fogerty performed a CCR tune since his lawsuit with the record company, all I know was “Proud Mary” never sounded so good with this all-star band. The lessons I learned that night where simple and I apply them to each real estate negotiation, never think this is just “another” deal, discover the opportunity and have fun!
