Abstract:

Pierced earlobe protector for permanent mounting in a wearer's earlobe, comprising an elongated tube of hypoallergenic material positioned within the pierced opening in the wearer's lobe, an enlarged flange at one end of the tube adapted to abut one surface of the lobe, and an extension at the other end of the tube extending beyond the opposite surface of the lobe, and locking means positioned on said extension to secure the protector in position in the lobe for subsequent reception therethrough of a pierced earring post.

Abstract:

A composite sheet of jewelry display cards comprises a plurality of display cards which are integrally struck in a sheet of cardboard material so that the cards are removably secured in the composite sheet by score lines. The display cards in the sheet comprise integrally struck card and hanger portions wherein the card portions are adapted for receiving jewelry items such as earrings or the like thereon, and the hanger portions are rearwardly bendable for suspending the display cards from display racks.

Abstract:

An adaptor enables a pierced earring of the type having an ornament and a metallic post to be converted into a pierced earring assembly having a hypoallergenic plastic post. The adaptor consists of a body having a longitudinal bore which is adapted for receiving the earring's metallic post, and a plastic post extending outwardly from the body. For assembly of the earring and adaptor, the metallic post of the earring is bent downwardly and slidably inserted into the bore. A small notch is provided at the upper edge of the body for receiving a rearwardly extending portion of the metallic post when the downwardly extending portion of the post is fully inserted into the bore. The notch is effective for preventing the earring from rotating when assembled with the adaptor. The plastic post extends rearwardly from the body portion and it is adapted for insertion through the pierced ear lobe of a wearer so that the pierced earring assembly may be worn in a conventional manner.

Abstract:

An adaptor enables a pierced earring to be converted into a pin that may be worn on an article of clothing. The adaptor consists of a receptacle having a longitudinal bore which is adapted to receive the earring's post. For conversion, the earring post is bent downwardly and slidably inserted into the bore. A U-shaped flange is secured to the receptacle and extends above the upper edge thereof. The flange has a front portion which includes a notch in its upper edge for receiving the bent-over earring post so that when the post is fully inserted into the receptacle the notch prevents the earring from rotating. The flange further has a rear portion which includes a rearwardly extending pin. The pin is adapted to penetrate an article of clothing.
