Abstract:

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for uplink control information (UCI) design for uplink (UL) transmission with configured grants. In accordance with one embodiment, a wireless communications device may receive, from a gNB, first information indicating a plurality of resources for a configured grant (CG) on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The wireless communications device may determine, based on second information, a portion of the plurality of resources to use for transmitting a configured grant-uplink control information (CG-UCI). The wireless communications device may generate the CG-UCI, wherein the CG-UCI comprises at least one of: an identifier associated with the wireless communications device or an indication of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The wireless communications device may transmit, to the gNB on the PUSCH, the CG-UCI using the determined portion of the plurality of resources.

Abstract:

The present application describes a method including a step of providing a sidelink (SL) synchronization signal (SS) burst over a time period, the SL SS burst including a slot including OFDM symbols. The method also includes a step of restricting, in a first OFDM symbol of the slot, transmission of a synchronization signal block (SSB) over resource blocks (RBs). The method further includes a step of transmitting, from a user equipment (UE) via plural symbols after the first symbol, the SSB over the RBs in new radio (NR) SL SS and physical broadcast channel (PBCH) (NR SL SS/PBCH) to a gNB. The present application also describes a method for discovering a vehicle group in vehicle to anything (V2X) communication range.

Abstract:

The present application is at least directed to an apparatus on a network including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for beamforming training. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, capable of executing the instructions of monitoring a first beamforming training reference signal (BT-RS) and physical broadcast channel (PBCH) of a network node to acquire symbol timing and subframe timing, where a common part of the PBCH includes a first beam ID. The processor is also configured to execute the instructions of transmitting, to the network node, a beam ID feedback with a unique training sequence generated based on the first beam ID to establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection The processor is further configured to execute the instructions of receiving, from the network node, a second BT-RS to perform beamforming training. The one or more second beam IDs are associated with one or more beams configured via RRC signaling. Resources of the second BT-RS are configured by a RRC message via the RRC connection.

Abstract:

Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes, indicators, and similar methods may be used improve new radio performance in a number of ways. For example HARQ processes may be retransmitted, even before a response is expected, a number of times. Separate acknowledgement may be provided for various code blocks within a single transport block. Multi-bit ACK/NACK signaling may be used to efficiently express the status of individual code blocks or groups of code blocks within a transmission block. Grantless transmissions may be acknowledged implicitly, e.g., via responses comprising downlink control information or sent via a physical hybrid automatic repeat request indicator channel.
