Two-Stage Printing Process And Apparatus For Radiant Energy Cured Ink
A printing process and apparatus are described which employ radiation curable inks and provide high resolution print at high speeds by a two-stage process where the image is formed on an intermediate substrate and then transferred to the print medium. This allows both sides of the printed image to be exposed to radiant energy and also allows the printed image to be exposed to both heat and radiant energy before transfer to the print medium.
Printable Sheet With Removable Label And Method For Producing Same
Printable sheets such as business forms and adhesive play mats having removable labels integrated therein are produced by applying pressure-sensitive adhesive directly to the base sheet of the printable sheet without a paper backing and encapsulating the adhesive with a solid silicone layer. The base sheet is die cut or perforated in regions where the adhesive is applied to define removable labels.
A label sheet includes a label joined to a release liner by an adhesive with adjacent relatively low and high release bonds. The high release bond secures the label to the liner, and the low release bond permits easy removal therefrom.
A label laminate includes a release liner and label bonded thereto by an adhesive. The liner includes a skip in the release thereof, and the label includes a skip in the adhesive thereof aligned therewith. The label is removable from the liner, and the release skip may be printed thereon.
A label sheet includes a label removably laminated to a release liner by a pair of release bonds having different bond strengths and being repetitive in a variegated pattern.
A nested label includes a liner having a surface release, and a label removably bonded to the liner by an adhesive. The liner and label have respective die cuts spaced apart from each other at a skip in the liner release for obtaining different bond strengths between the label and liner on opposite sides of the label die cut.
A label laminate includes a small sheet laminated to a large sheet in a two-ply lamination, with a portion of the large sheet remaining single ply. The lamination has an exposed front side and an exposed back side. The front side includes an annular disk label in the two-ply lamination, and a rectangular first case insert in the single-ply portion. The back side includes a rectangular second case insert in the two-ply lamination behind the disk label.
