Abstract:

An ornamental ring having a flashing capacity controlled by a minute electrical circuit incorporating one or more light-emitting diodes which are confined in the gem-display region of the ring, is disclosed. A time delay, capacitor-resistor arrangement governs the activation and deactivation of a pair of transistors whose function is to cause the light-emitting diodes to alternately flash or blink in substantially identical intervals.

Abstract:

A table is provided for use in association with a bed including a base member, a tubular support column and a table top. The support column includes an upper tubular portion telescopically mounted over a lower tubular portion; a locking spring mechanism for maintaining upward tension against the upper portion; release means for overcoming the spring mechanism to permit lowering of the upper portion; and means to permit the table top to horizontally pivot a pre-determined amount relative to the support column and be locked in a fixed position. The table top is mounted to the support column, in cantilever fashion, and includes a mirror recessed in the table top.

Abstract:

A method of impeding the evaporation of a solvent by at least partially dissolving a solvent soluble polymer in the solvent in sufficient amounts so as to impede the evaporation of the solvent is disclosed. In one embodiment the soluble polymer may be selected from the group including oligomeric or polymeric homo-, co-, and terpolymers wherein a vinylcyclohexyl moiety comprises at least 10% weight of the polymer. Another aspect is generally directed to a method of storing a solvent including placing the solvent in a suitable container for storage, and dissolving in at least a portion of the solvent sufficient amounts of a soluble polymer so as to impede the evaporation of the solvent. Also described are compositions including a solvent and a polymer dissolved in the solvent so as to impede evaporation of the solvent.

A gasoline fuel composition comprising a major portion of gasoline and a minor portion of one or more polyaryl amines, effective to increase the octane number of the gasoline composition, represented by the formula: ##STR1## where R. sup. 1 -R. sup. 5 are independently hydrogen or C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 8 aliphatic hydrocarbons; R. sup. 6 -R. sup. 8 are independently hydrogen or C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 6 aliphatic hydrocarbons; x is between 0 and about 2, inclusive, y is between 0 and about 3, inclusive; and z is between about 1 and about 50, inclusive.
