Abstract:

The present invention provides for a food peeler having a removable blade that includes an end received in a bore of the food peeler handle and a resilient member is mounted adjacent to the end of the blade and allows for the blade to be moved between a centered and offset position so that the blade may be removed and replaced. A tool is provided in order to remove and replace the blade.

Abstract:

An ergonomic handle for use with a hand tool, such as a pair of scissors or the like, is disclosed which includes first and second opposing lever members coupled together at a pivot point to permit reciprocating movement of the lever members between a closed position and an open position. The lever members may include a cutting blade or other tool feature on a first end adjacent the pivot point, and a handle on a second end adjacent the pivot point opposite the first end. The fixed handle has a loop portion which includes an inner surface and an outer surface along one side of which abuts a corresponding outer surface of the opposing lever member while in the closed position. Each loop portion is made from a rigid material segment and a resilient material segment, with the rigid material segment having a cavity open at the outer loop surface and the resilient material segment extending across the cavity at the inner loop surface.

A beverage container has a thermally insulated base defining a reservoir and a cover assembly removably mountable on the base for closing the reservoir. The cover assembly includes a cap defining a recess open to ambient and defines a baffled passage between the recess and the reservoir closeable by a valve assembly including a toggle mechanism actuatable by a push button disposed centrally of the cap and spaced from the recess, for alternately latching the valve in closed and open conditions relative to the passage. Abstract:

A trash can assembly generally having an inner container, an outer cover and a locking mechanism for securing the two-piece design together is disclosed. The inner container has a wall including a first open end, a base at a second end, and a rim about a periphery of the first open end. The locking mechanism comprises at least one locking tab affixed to the inner container, with at least one locking slot defined within the outer cover and positioned to align with and engage the locking tab when the two pieces are joined. It is preferable that the locking mechanism of the assembly be capable of being unlocked or released by the user from an exterior surface of the outer cover. The outer cover includes a wall defining a hollow, a rim defining a first opening, and a base defining a second opening.
