Description:
Julia feels very fortunate to have grown up in this edgy, yet artsy "City in the Mountains" – Asheville, N.C. After attending Western Carolina University in 1995, Julia had a startling realization that her lifelong dream of becoming a Nurse was not so. With little direction she set out to discover her true passion. Shortly after leaving college in 1999, she began working as an administrative assistant for a small boutique Real Estate firm in North Asheville. "This was the turning point, one that I'm so grateful for every day, I fell into real estate by accident, and now I can't imagine persevering in any other direction." A significant factor in Julia's success has been the 9 extensive years of experience in the real estate arena… She's worked in marketing, office management, accounting, as well as Sales, working with both Buyers & Sellers. "I'm so glad to have spent time working behind the scenes, as well as, on the forefront with Buyers and Sellers; I tend to be a perfectionist and this affords me the knowledge I need to feel comfortable guiding clients through to a successful closing." Julia prides herself in her work ethic and professionalism, offering empathy and discernment, perceptive to each client's needs. When not busy with Real Estate, Julia and her husband Darin, love spending time with their 2 children, Ben and Maya. "Asheville is such a great place to raise children; not only the great education, but you'll never run out of fun things to do." Julia loves treating herself to gourmet coffee, great self-development/meditation books and walking, especially as the seasons change. A strong commitment to her community, Julia is an advocate and volunteer for "Relay for Life", she is very involved with her children's schools, extracurricular activities and PTO, as well as, being a member of the National Association of Professional Women, NAPW.
