Julie May’s interest in real estate began with building and remodeling the many homes she and her husband have owned in their 25 year courtship. But her true love of the business has come from the people she has worked with over her 13-year career. Julie realized from the start that her strong people skills and extensive business experience fit perfectly with the Beverly-Hanks commitment to professionalism and customer service. She graduated from Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a minor in Accounting in 1983. Upon graduating she began a long career in management in the building supply industry becoming one of the first women to break into this predominantly male field. She later moved on to corporate accounting for a Fortune 500 company and locally has helped companies successfully cut expenses and maximize profits. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience on both construction and the current trends in the local market. Her excellent communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of residential real estate are strengths that have earned her respect and success in the industry. Julie is a dedicated professional with a detail-oriented approach and a talent for helping buyers and sellers find creative solutions that may be outside the box. Julie enjoys helping first time home buyers as much as she does her clients in the luxury market. It’s all about the people, and finding solutions to exceed their expectations. She and her husband Tim have been married for 24 years and raise their family on a farm in Fletcher just south of Asheville where they enjoy their cows, pigs and chickens. They have three amazing children all of whom make them extremely proud. They are active in the community and are members of Biltmore Baptist Church.
