Abstract:

An ornamental plasma display having a conical bulb with an upper end and a lower end, the bulb tapering from the lower end to the upper end, and the bulb further having an outer bulb portion and an inner bulb portion hermetically connected with said outer bulb portion thereby creating a hermetically sealed chamber. The hermetically sealed chamber has a discharging gas which causes illuminating arcs of plasma upon an electrical discharge occurring therethrough. The plasma display further has a conductor disposed within the inner bulb portion, and a control circuit for selectively providing electricity of varying voltage and frequency to the conductor. The control circuit alters the electricity to the conductor upon a ground being placed to the outer wall of the outer bulb portion.

Abstract:

Disclosed herein is a nanoconstruct comprising an aptamer and a gold nanostar. The nanoconstruct can be used in a method of inducing changes to a nuclear phenotype of a cell comprising transporting the nanoconstruct to a nucleus of a cell, and releasing the aptamer from a surface of the gold nanostar into the nucleus of the cell to afford deformations or invaginations in the nuclear membrane, thereby inducing changes to the nuclear phenotype. The method can be used to treat certain hyperproliferative disorders such as cancer.

Abstract:

A plasma display including a bulb having an outer and an inner bulb portion hermetically connected with the outer bulb portion to thereby create a hermetically sealed chamber and an inventive circuit to provide electricity to create illuminating arcs of plasma in an inert atmosphere in the sealed chamber. The inner bulb portion has an inner surface and an outer surface facing the sealed chamber, and there is a conductive coating on the inner surface. An inventive discharging gas is infused into the sealed chamber and electricity of varying voltage is supplied through the circuit to the conductive coating to cause visible plasma arcs of electricity between the inner and outer bulb portion. In a first embodiment, the outer bulb portion is preferably spherical, and the inner bulb portion is preferably tubular and contained within the outer bulb portion with the conductive coating being located substantially in the center of the spherical outer bulb portion. In a second embodiment, the outer bulb portion is U-shaped and the inner bulb portion is on the inner curve of the U-shape such that the conductive coating is at substantially the apex of the inner curve of the inner bulb portion of the U-shape.

Abstract:

The present application relates to a pattern forming method for quartz surface and a pattern forming device for quartz surface. According to the pattern forming method for quartz surface of the present application, by comprising a step of forming a pattern and a step of forming a color, it is possible to freely express the color on the pattern simultaneously along with forming the pattern on the quartz surface. And, in addition to these steps, by optionally comprising a step of additionally forming a pattern, it is possible to freely form a desired pattern on the quartz surface, and, by adding long line type patterns on the quartz surface unlike existing conventional quartz surfaces, it is possible to produce the quartz surface showing patterns and textures which are more natural and close to natural stone.

Abstract:

An embodiment of Horizontal and Vertical Axis Wind Generator (HVAWG) concept with the rotating big and small wings, the magnectic coils, magnetic field magnets attached to the wings, generator motor, generator motor coils and generator motor magnetics is described. The generator motors in the present invention use the generator motor coils, the generator motor magnets, magnetic filed coils and magnetic field magnets to amplify the power using the repulsive characters of the same magnetic poles. Also, both the outside and the inside parts of the generator motors rotate the present invention while the inside parts of the generator motors rotate in the traditional wind generators. These features allows for a number of improvements over the current state of the art including damage protection, scalability depending the application and the speed regulation ability to remain operational during high wind and low wind conditions. In addition, the invention described here is scalable for cars, boats, airplanes, motor cycles, camping cars, drones, homes, offices, and power plants. Finally, the material of the horizontal and vertical axis wind generator is aluminum which is lighter, is easier to be installed, is durable and is corrosion resistant.
