Abstract:

An inflatable mattress is provided that has a method of retaining a sleeping bag on top of it. Retaining a sleeping bag on top is achieved by using a coverlet. The coverlet is connected to the top of the inflatable mattress by suitable fasteners. The pocket formed between the coverlet and mattress portion is where a sleeping bag is inserted. An air fill mechanism is provided that is easily accessible from the outside of the mattress. An integral protective flap is also provided. The flap encases the mattress when in a rolled-up configuration and protects it during storage and transport. The device operates as one self-contained unit.

Abstract:

Disclosed is a new conductive current collector plate. The plate has alternating concentric ridges and channels on one side and a series of holes drilled perpendicular to and through the diameter of the concentric ridges. Two plates used in combination as the cathode and anode side of a typical proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell distribute fuel or oxidant evenly across the membrane and does not require the use of a manifold.

Abstract:

An inflatable cushioning device is provided that is comprised of three layers of flexible gas-impermeable material. One of such layers of material is formed with spaced protrusions throughout its length and width. This layer, when sealed to a flat layer of similar shape along its periphery and at various locations between the protrusions, forms an inflatable assembly. The ends or tips of the spaced protrusions are connected to another flat layer of similar size and shape for structural support. When inflated the protrusions act as the main structure for supporting a load upon the inflatable device. The protrusions are spaced close enough to provide ample load support but far enough apart to minimize the overall volume of air needed to inflate the device to full size.
