Hello all! I am Katherine Hess. You can call me Katherine, Kathy, or Kat. I was born in the Philippines at Clark Air Base. After living there 5 years, I spent the next 7 years moving across the southeastern US, including South Carolina, Mississippi, and Georgia. Our final move was here to the Florida panhandle, where my dad eventually retired at Hurlburt Field. I decided to follow in Dad's footsteps and joined the Air Force in 1998. After 4 years of active duty starting at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, FL, I continued my career as an air traffic controller with the federal government. During those 10 years, I lived in Indiana, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arizona. I then made one of the most difficult decisions in my life. I resigned from my government job and moved back "HOME" here to raise my now 18 month old daughter and be close to family. I am an avid sports fan, but I have to say my favorite is NASCAR racing. I go to at least one race a year. I also enjoy supporting our local area sports teams, including the Pensacola Ice Flyers and Pensacola Blue Wahoos. In my free time, I love to be outdoors, whether it's playing volleyball on the beach, running 5k's for a cause, camping with the family, or doing a little fishing from the kayak. I am all too familiar with the hardships of moving from state to state as well as overseas and want to help make your next move be as effortless as possible.
