Follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Lab Practices, Good Clinical Practices and Standard Operating Procedures for given assays and lab procedures as well as FDA regulations Performance of multiple maintenance procedures and quality checks to assure accurate testing results Carry out proficiency testing and documentation for given tests with CAP and CLIA standards Work experience in laboratory with ISO 15189 Accreditation Complete and document staff training and competency records, as well as being a primary trainer for new personnel Responsible for monthly safety talks and being a contact for the lab in company Safety Committee meetings Creation and maintenance of spreadsheets to assist building services with monthly calibrations of numerous types of equipment in the lab and perform Risk Assessments for Out of Tolerance equipment when needed Revising laboratory SOPs and appropriate forms using the company SOP data system Handling of hazardous and biohazardous waste appropriately Use of proper PPE and different types of PPE depending on job responsibility and task Knowledge and use of MSDS on many lab chemicals and reagents along with proper handling of given reagents at hand Receiving of lab test kits and reagents, perform appropriate Quality Control, review and sign-off of materials when completed Extensive use of aseptic technique Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate tasks Proficiency using in-house LIMS for building sample loads, instrument test ordering, releasing results and adept at using system for investigating/troubleshooting problem samples
