Abstract:
A permanent magnet DC motor having electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression includes a metal motor housing and a brush card assembly. The brush card assembly includes brushes and leads constructed and arranged to be coupled with a source of power to power the motor. A brush card housing has a first portion housing the brushes and a second portion , integral with the first portion, and housing the leads. A printed circuit board is mounted with respect to the second portion of the housing and carries at least one electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression component constructed and arranged to suppress EMI generated by the motor. The leads are electrically connected to the printed circuit board so that current can be provided through the printed circuit board to the brushes. A contact member is electrically connected between the printed circuit board and the metal motor housing so that the at least one EMI suppression component couples the brushes to the metal motor housing thereby causing the metal motor housing to become an AC ground and EMI shield.

Abstract:
An electrical device includes terminals encased within a housing and having distal ends connectable to two different circuit boards to provide a reliable electrical connection between the circuit boards. The first circuit board and the second circuit board are electrically connected through terminals that are embedded within the housing. Openings within the two circuit boards provide for electrical communication and continuity between the two circuit boards by a mating interference fit with the terminals. The electric contact provided by the interference fit between the terminal and the opening is dependable through extreme temperature ranges.
An improved folding camera includes a housing for supporting photographic film, a lens assembly covering door and a lens assembly supporting member. Both the door and the member are pivotally coupled to the housing and a link rod is pivotally coupled to both the door and the member. The coupling between the link rod and the member comprises an overcenter joint. This joint assumes an approximately center position when the lens assembly covering door is raised from a home position to a temporary position and moves to either side of the center position in response to return movement of the door to its home position. The particular side of center to which the joint moves is determined by the orientation of the camera relative to gravity. Since the member moves in response to movement of the overcenter joint the member may be pivoted towards or away from the housing when the overcenter joint moves from its center position. The camera may thus be either erected or folded by the same rocking movement of the lens assembly covering door.
