An improved, large-format digital inkjet print engine that includes a group of co-operating print engine subassemblies that embody various novel elements that both discreetly and cumulatively advance the current art. The group of subassemblies and sensors cooperate to produce high quality graphic images using a plurality of different colors of ink and different types of print media at speeds several times faster than similar conventional inkjet printers. In addition, the use of cooperating elements permit the manufacture of complex, large-format digital color inkjet print engines that are less expensive to fabricated, operated, and serviced. The present invention finds use in large-format digital color printing and imaging, where successful repeatable printing requires precise placement of droplets of ink, toner or other marking material on a print medium such as paper, vinyl, film, or similar substrate.

Abstract:
A modular paneling system for modular wall assemblies includes a plurality of panels, each including panel mounting brackets attached to the top, bottom, first side and second side frame members of the panel; a plurality of elongated posts; a plurality of end pieces, each configured for removably receiving and retaining at least a portion of one or more of the plurality of mounting brackets; and a plurality of caps, each configured for removably receiving and retaining at least a portion of one or more of the plurality of mounting brackets. The modular wall is assembled by individually attaching the first and the second side frame members to respective elongated poles, and securing a top cap to each elongated post.

Abstract:
This invention relates to an improved wide format color digital print engine, and in particular to a drum-based large format digital ink jet print engine having a vertically articulated carriage portion which carries both the print heads and an imaging array, adjustable saber angles for print heads, a novel service station, and an extremely robust weight-bearing carriage architecture. In particular, the present invention provides a highly manufacturable print engine benefiting from a discrete few controlled mounting locations so that accurate mounting of the cooperating sub-assemblies allow a very stable carriage assembly for driving said carriage laterally with respect to a printing medium coupled to the exterior of a drum.
