Abstract:

The invention comprises systems and methods for making a prediction utilizing admissions-based or personal information. The invention receives information associated with the prospective student or person via a network. The invention determines one or more predictive factors based upon selected prospective student information or selected personal information. Finally, the invention determines a likelihood of a decision such as an enrollment decision based upon at least one predictive factor. Information utilized by the invention consists of at least one of the following: static data, biographical data, statistical data, historical data, behavioral data, preferential data, circumstantial data, demographic data, or other data that permits an observation to be made about a person such as the prospective student. The invention develops and updates a predictive algorithm that correlates one or more predictive factors based upon selected prospective student information or personal information.

Abstract:

Methods are provided for establishing a threshold exposure limit to a chemical or biological agent for the members of a target species taking into account the potential for variation in responses among the members of that species. Exemplary exposures include maximum safe exposure to a toxic agent, or minimum effective dose for a pharmaceutical. The method is particularly useful under circumstances wherein variation in responsiveness to the agent cannot be ascertained by directly exposing members of the target species to the agent.

Abstract:

Methods are provided herein for conducting stimulus-response studies on iPSCs, or cells derived from iPSCs, that have been derived from perinatal cells collected from donors under null-exposome conditions. In some embodiments, multiple donors are involved. In other embodiments, the iPSCs are differentiated. The use of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) derived from cells that originate from neonates enable a scientist to largely remove the influences of age and environmental exposures, allowing a more targeted analysis of the direct interaction between a stimulus and a test subject. Furthermore, use of iPSCs derived from cells originating from multiple donors enable the scientist to obtain more precise measurements of the role of genetic differences in determining responses to a given stimulus than the use of other test materials, by eliminating the vast majority of the differential influences of age and environment among test subjects.
