Abstract:

A system for automatic program generation which receives a number of input format descriptors and a number of output format descriptors. The system generates a program for converting an input data sequence having a format described by input format descriptors to an output data sequence having a format described by the output format descriptors. The program may then be executed responsive to an input data stream, wherein a portion of the input data stream corresponds to the input data sequence. The input data sequence and output data sequence consist of a number of data type indicators. In an exemplary embodiment, the input data type indicators correspond to fields of data units received by a forwarding device, and the output data type indicators correspond to fields of corresponding data units forwarded by the forwarding device. In the exemplary embodiment, the generated program is executed on a hardware processor to convert a data unit received on a communication link over a information flow to an output data unit for transmission on a second communication link. The initial data unit of the information flow triggers generation and loading of the program while the forwarding device is up and running.

Abstract:

A digital certificate is created transparently on a mobile device. A VPN appliance receives user credentials from an app, the credentials familiar to the user and associated with an enterprise authentication service. The credentials are validated, comprising the first user authentication in a two-factor authentication method. The user is then presented with a display in the app asking for a PIN. The appliance generates a PIN and sends it to the user via the user enterprise email. The user enters the PIN in the app display. This is the second factor in the two-factor authentication. Once the user is authenticated, the appliance sends data for generating a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to the app. The app generates a CSR and the appliance sends the CSR to an enterprise CA. A certificate is signed and enrolled. The signed digital certificate is then sent to the wrapped app.

Abstract:

A VPN gateway device is able to assign, manage, and terminate a large volume of connections from apps executing on devices, enabling a large scale per-app VPN mobile environment. When a mobile device user opens an app on a mobile device, a VPN gateway transmits a unique IP address to the app. The gateway also transmits an app federation cookie to the app. The app shares the app federation cookie with a second app. The VPN gateway then assigns the second app the same unique IP address. The gateway then transmits a range of ports to the first app. The app uses a port in the range of ports for data transmission from the device to the VPN gateway. The gateway receives a data transmission from the first app via a VPN and determines that the data transmission originated from the first app based on the source port.
