An optical test cable has a number of independent optical fibers bundled in a cable between two break out ends beyond which the individual fiber strings extend color coded with optical connectors installed on their ends. The optical connectors are covered with dust caps. During a measurement cycle, a technician may alternately use the independent fibers to couple a light-metering device to tested optical connectors. Providing a number of fibers allows the technician to change from one fiber to the next rather than having to polish the output face of the cables optical connector at the testing site. The optical connectors at one end of the test cable are configured for attaching to the metering device. The optical connectors at the opposing end are either configured for attaching to a number of adapters or for direct attaching to varying standards the tested optical connectors.
Electrical Cable Moisture Barrier With Strain Relief Bridge
A moisture barrier is molded and/or glued around an exposed section of a conductor where a surrounding insulation layer is removed. A gap between the conductor and a surrounding insulation layer consequently terminates at the moisture barrier and moisture is prevented from creeping any further. The moisture barrier is preferably integrated in a wick dam of a test cord utilized in a telephone line-testing device. A strain relief bridge may be crimped with two metal sleeves on the remaining insulation layer laterally on both sides of the moisture barrier to bridge eventual external forces across the moisture barrier.

Abstract:
A composite expandable stent for delivery into a vessel carrying blood comprising an expandable support frame having first and second end portions. A porous imprevious polymer sleeve having inner and outer surfaces extending over the support frame. A coating is disposed on at least one of the inner and outer surfaces of the polymer sleeve for enhancing endothelial cell growth on the device and polymer sleeve. The stent can be cylindrical or tapered.

Abstract:
A tool restraint includes an elongate elastomeric tether line, with a respective first and second flexible strap mounted to each end thereof. The first web strap is arranged for selective securement about an individual's wrist, with the second strap for securement about a tool member. A modification of the invention includes magnets mounted within each strap permitting enhanced securement of the tool by the second strap and selective securement to an automotive body part for anchoring the tool preventing its loss.
A telephone line tester includes a pin socket connector, a modular jack connector and a plurality of lines out. The telephone line tester can be connected to a telephone line at a modular jack interface, and alternatively, at a pin socket interface. Testing can be performed by accessing signals of the telephone line through the plurality of lines out. Testing can also be performed by accessing signals of the telephone line through the modular jack connector.
