  • Filed:
    Oct 19, 2002
  • Appl. No.:
    10/273554
  • Inventors:
Kevin Sauerwald - Harleysville PA, US
  • International Classification:
    B61D045/00
  • US Classification:
    410/097000
  • Abstract:
A tie-down cable assembly attaches to a vehicle bed and improves how cargo can be secured in the vehicle bed. The assembly includes a first tie-down cable longitudinally spanning the vehicle bed and having two opposing ends. A first fastener is connected to a first of the ends of the first cable and to the front bed tie-down anchor of the first pair. A second fastener is connected to a second of the ends of the first cable and to the rear bed tie-down anchor of the first pair. A second tie-down cable longitudinally spans the vehicle bed and having two opposing ends. A first fastener is connected to a first of the ends of the second cable and to the front bed tie-down anchor of the second pair. A second fastener is connected to a second of the ends of the second cable and to the rear bed tie-down anchor of the second pair. A chord is connected to the first cable to the second cable. The chord covers and secures the cargo that is to be held.
  • Message Data Processing System Suitable For Healthcare And Other Fields

    view source
  • US Patent:
    20050043968, Feb 24, 2005
  • Filed:
    Aug 6, 2004
  • Appl. No.:
    10/912931
  • Inventors:
Kevin Sauerwald - Harleysville PA, US
  • International Classification:
    G06F017/60
  • US Classification:
    705002000
  • Abstract:
A message data processing system suitable for processing messages identifying transactions includes an input processor, a parser, one or more repositories, and a data processor. The input processor receives data representing a message. The parser parses received message data to identify an individual data field in the message data. The one or more repositories contain ancillary information associated with data fields of the message data. The data processor retrieves ancillary information, associated with the identified data field of the message data, from the one or more repositories, and processes the retrieved associated ancillary information together with information in the data field for output.

  • Device Providing Additional Attachment Points In A Vehicle Bed

    view source
  • US Patent:
    20130034401, Feb 7, 2013
  • Filed:
    Aug 6, 2012
  • Appl. No.:
    13/568063
  • Inventors:
Kevin S. Sauerwald - Harleysville PA, US
  • Assignee:
SKELLEN ENTERPRISES, LLC - Harleysville PA
  • International Classification:
    B60P 7/08
  • US Classification:
    410101
  • Abstract:
A strap provides additional connection points in a vehicle bed to tethers at more convenient locations than OEM anchor points. The strap includes a ring or series of rings that are connected by webbing segments. A tensioning device is included in the strap to adjust the length of the strap and to provide tension when installed. Two straps can be used along the lateral sides of a pickup-truck bed. Tether such as bungee chords, ropes, straps, or cargo nets can be placed from one strap to another to secure cargo in the bed in ways that are not possible when using the OEM anchor points alone.
  • Tie Down Strap With Strap Loop For Preventing Disengagement While Securing Cargo

    view source
  • US Patent:
    20180154818, Jun 7, 2018
  • Filed:
    Jan 17, 2017
  • Appl. No.:
    15/408413
  • Inventors:
Kevin Scott Sauerwald - Harleysville PA, US
  • International Classification:
    B60P 7/08
  • Abstract:
A strap assembly device is used to maintain engagement between the strap and the strap anchor point. The strap assembly device works by creating a loop to prevent the fastening hook on the strap from slipping. The strap assembly device is looped through a strap anchor point and the fastening hook is engaged to the anchor point. A portion of the strap extends beyond the fastening hook through the anchor point. The strap creates a loop by using a fastening system. The fastening system is generated by a male and female portion being joined. Either the male or female portion of the fastening system is located on the medial portion of the strap (portion before the hook). The other portion of the fastening system, male or female, is located on the lateral portion of the strap (portion extending beyond the hook). Once the fastening hook is engaged with the strap anchor point on the vehicle, the male and female portions of the fastening systems are joined. This union of the male and female fastening systems disallows the fastening hook from becoming disengaged from the strap anchor point.
