Students will understand the realities of what manufacturers, retailers and consumers demand in today's rapidly changing market place," says Harrington graduate, Vicki Semke and owner of Mig and Tig Furniture. Mig and Tig Furniture specializes in custom furniture, but that wasn't always their focus. The company's name derived from welding terms when their business was solely making custom iron furniture. On the West coast, sister store, Mortise and Tenon, similarly, focused on wood products, as their store name derived from a wood joint and are also a custom furniture boutique.
