Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for executing a remote transaction between a merchant and a customer. A designation of a monetary amount for the remote transaction and an identification of the merchant is transmitted from a merchant processing system to a host system controlled by a money-transfer provider. A money-transfer transaction identifier identifying a prepared money-transfer transaction for transfer of the monetary amount is established at the merchant processing system. The money-transfer transaction identifier is provided to the customer. Performance of merchant obligations in accordance with the remote transaction is initiated after notification to the merchant processing system of receipt of a cash payment made by the customer towards the prepared money-transfer transaction.
A payment service method and system involve a payment service provider, a customer/payor and a consumer provider/payee. The customer/payor enrolls in the service and is provided a unique identifier that enables the customer to conduct transactions with the payment service provider. The customer/payor interfaces with the payment service provider through various forms of communication, and can facilitate payments to the consumer providers/payees through the payment service provider while remaining anonymous.

Abstract:
One method involves payment of money to a recipient traveling to one or more foreign countries by entering into a remote computer money transfer information from a sender. The money transfer information comprises recipient identification information, at least one country where the money is to be received, and a payment amount in an originating currency. The money transfer information is transmitted to a host computer system. When ready to receive payment in the designated country, recipient identification information along with a request to withdraw a portion of a possible payment amount is entered into a payout computer. The recipient identification information and the request to withdraw is transmitted to a host computer system, and the requested withdrawal is provided to the recipient in the local currency.
Systems and methods for accepting payments for goods and services provided by a consumer provider. The methods can include associating consumers and consumer providers with a payment provider. The payment provider can receive payments destined for the consumer provider, associate the payments with one or more identifiers, and transfer at least portions of the receive payments to the consumer provider. Also, a validation from the host computer system is received indicating that the transaction requested has been validated. A payment is received from the consumer, and at least a portion of the payment is electronically transmitted to the travel company.
