Abstract:

A automated, milk inclusive espresso coffee machine which includes a fully automatic coffee grinding and brewing apparatus and a steam generator for driving a venturi mixing device which draws ambient air and milk from a refrigerated source for making milk inclusive espresso beverages, all milk contacting surfaces being either refrigerated or steam cleaned with each beverage made and served. A novel microprocessor controls all operations including brewing, steam generating, water heating, refrigerating, operations parameters, measuring and monitoring, many "house-keeping" functions and others.

Abstract:

A fully automated cappuccino, latte, and espresso brewing machine which includes a refrigerated milk supply from which milk is drawn by a steam driven venturi apparatus. The venturi subcombination includes independently electrically operated valving for the driving steam, for drawing milk from its supply, and for drawing air, as desired, for foaming the milk in a vortex mixer coupled to the output of the venturi. The valving may be sequential so that with each cycle of use of the apparatus, it is hygienically steam cleaned of all milk residue.

Abstract:

A linear actuator control system (10) as applied to a chaise lounge (12) having a seat back (14) pivotally hinged to a seat portion (16). The actuator (20) includes a piston assembly (46) mounted within a cylinder assembly (48) for controlled movement through a position control assembly (50). A rotatable valve assembly (172) mounted within the piston (66) prevents the flow of hydraulic fluid through a passageway (88) in the piston to selectively lock the piston (66) in position within the cylinder (96). A cam assembly (174) translates linear movement of a cable (244) into rotational movement by the interaction of a cam follower (216) and a cam member (214) having an opening (224) formed therein that interacts with the cam follower (216).
