Abstract:

An improved venturi apparatus for facilitating the mixture of fluid substances. The apparatus preferably has first funnel section operative to receive a fluid and channel the same through a first cylindrical section or passageway. The first cylindrical section is fluidly connected to an intermediate passageway having a diameter larger than the first cylindrical section. At least one sidearm passageway is fluidly connected to the intermediate passageway into which at least one second fluid is introduced. The at least one sidearm passageway is preferably configured to fluidly interconnect with the intermediate passageway at approximately the medial portion of the intermediate passageway. Fluidly connected to the intermediate passageway is a second cylindrical section that is operative to direct the flow of the intermixed fluids to a second exit funnel section. The improved venturi apparatus is exceptionally efficient at drawing in a second fluid and effective in facilitating the mixture of two or more gasses, liquids or combinations thereof.

A Venturi apparatus includes: a body defining a receptacle chamber configured to receive a first fluid, a transition passageway in fluid communication with the receptacle chamber and configured to receive the first fluid from the receptacle chamber, a mixing chamber in fluid communication with the transition passageway and configured to receive the first fluid from the transition passageway, and a sidearm passageway in fluid communication with the mixing chamber and extending to an outer surface of the body and configured to allow a second fluid to pass from an exterior of the into the mixing chamber; and a fluid flow regulator connected to the body, configured to affect a flow of the first fluid from the receptacle chamber into the mixing chamber, and including a valve mechanism configured to selectively engage the body to inhibit flow of the first fluid from the receptacle chamber into the mixing chamber.

Abstract:

A welders glove is constructed of deer skin with the stretch axis of the skin forming the palm and back of the hand and fingers oriented to extend transverse to the axis of the hand and with the cuff portion of the glove oriented to extend longitudinally of the hand. A liner of a PVC closed-cell foam lines the three bottom fingers and the bottom half of the palm and back of the hand extending back to the end of the cuff leaving the thumb and forefinger unlined to provide for ease of feel and manipulation of tools by the thumb and forefinger.

Abstract:

An electronic interface for converting an interlaced video signal to a non-interlaced video signal suitable for an LCD flat panel. An analog interpolator scheme is used in which the information available in an incoming video scan line is delayed and sampled, and output signals are created by interpolation between the sampled input and actual and interpolated scan line signals. The output signals are then converted into an integrated, sequential non-interlaced output signal having a frequency corresponding to the horizontal resolution of a scan line of the flat panel.
