A concealed safety latch assembly for a medicine cabinet that has three components: a mounting plate, a latch member, and a locking member. The mounting plate has an aligning flange along its forward edge to facilitate alignment of the mounting plate upon a vertical side wall of the medicine cabinet. The latch member has a nose portion with a cam surface, an unlatching finger, and a notch is formed between them. A tongue member extends into said notch from the body of the latch member and has a reduced thickness adjacent the area where it extends from the body of the latch member. The latch member is pivotally attached to the mounting plate by a shaft passing through an eccentrically located bore on the latch member. The locking member is L-shaped with its vertical leg attached to the inside vertical wall of the medicine cabinet door. The horizontal leg has a forward cammed nose surface behind which a cutaway recess is formed for lockingly engaging the nose of the latch member.
A thermoelectric refrigeration unit in which the heat-sink plate and cold plate are separated by spacer blocks, and the space between the plates is filled with thermal insulation. A separator encloses the insulation and the space between the plates and has the fan and power supply mounted to it. A cover encloses the fan, power supply and heat-radiating fins and has openings for circulation of air. The separator and cover are fastened to the cold plate which serves as the base for the unit and as the means for mounting the unit in an insulated enclosure. In a modified embodiment, a shroud and fan assembly is mounted over the cold plate for circulating refrigerated air within the insulated enclosure.

Abstract:
A system, which automatically or manually signals and senses the event of a person falling overboard from a vessel (12) into water (14), comprises a portable transmitter (16) coupled to a sound-producing transducer carried by the person (10) for transmitting ultrasonic and/or audible sound waves (18) through the water to a receiver (20) carried by the vessel. The receiver thereby permits rescue operations of the person to be initiated.
A thermoelectric icebox conversion unit features a cold plate (22) which incorporates bosses (24) and radially extending heat-collecting fins (23), all diecast as one integral unit which avoids sharp corners and joints, thereby decreasing resistance to thermal conductivity. The cold plate serves as the base for the unit and as the means for mounting the unit in an insulated enclosure. Thermoelectric modules (25) are attached to bosses (24). Thermal insulation (32) retained by a separator (31) is enclosed in the space between a heat sink plate (26) and the cold plate. A fan (34) and power supply is mounted on the separator and is attached to the cold plate. A cover (35) encloses the fan, power supply and heat-radiating fins (27) and has openings for circulation of air. A second fan assembly (41) is mounted within the cold plate fins (23), and a baffle plate (42) with openings is placed over the fins and the fan for circulating refrigerated air past the fins (23) as well as within the insulated enclosure.
Two other residents, Sharon and Larry Simms, say they were able to get their grandchildren out in time, but their pets may not have been so fortunate. Larry Simms hopes that NL Housing will be able to help them, but theyve lost many irreplaceable possessions.
