Abstract:

An approach to commercial information tagging. A digital radio receiver may be configured to receive commercial metadata that is part of a digital radio stream. A user may be able to provide input indicating that a particular commercial is of interest, thereby selecting the commercial metadata. The digital radio receiver may then determine one or more devices, from a set of devices that are communicatively connected to the digital radio receiver, that are configured to receive advertising associated with the commercial metadata. The digital radio receiver may then transmit the advertising to the various devices. In response, the devices may display information about the entity that sponsored the particular commercial; for example, a cellular phone may display a coupon, while a GPS device displays directions to the nearest location.

Abstract:

Methods, computer systems, and computer program products for configuring ports of interconnected communications equipment include, defining configuration parameters for at least one port of a plurality of ports of a plurality of interconnected communications devices; defining a group of the at least one port of the plurality of ports of the plurality of interconnected communications devices into a configuration group; and creating an explicit link mirroring the defined configuration parameters of the at least one port of the plurality of ports of the plurality of interconnected communications devices to the defined configuration group of at least one port of the plurality of ports of the plurality of interconnected communications devices, such that changes made to the defined configuration parameters are replicated and synced to the defined configuration group.

Abstract:

Various embodiments for management and correlation of communication errors by a processor device. A log is maintained that records each assignment of a particular network identification (ID) with a specific device in a computer storage network, including at least one of a date the ID was assigned and a time the ID was assigned, such that a trace or review may later be performed to correlate the specific device with data associated with the device at the at least one of the date and the time for troubleshooting purposes.
