Abstract:

A printer cartridge and method of making or refurbishing a printer cartridge are disclosed. The printer cartridge may include a first cartridge subassembly attached to a second cartridge subassembly. The first cartridge subassembly may include a first conductive terminal and the second cartridge subassembly may include a second conductive terminal that is normally in electrical contact with the first conductive terminal when the first and second subassemblies are assembled. A compressible toner seal may be disposed between the first and second cartridge subassemblies. A compressible, electrically conductive extension may be attached to the first conductive terminal to compensate for variations in thickness of the compressible toner seal or relative movement of the first cartridge subassembly relative to the second cartridge subassembly when the first and second subassemblies are attached to one another to form the printer cartridge.

Abstract:

Techniques for attaching a replacement chip to an imaging cartridge are described. An exemplary method of modifying a toner hopper assembly for use in a toner cartridge consists of providing the toner hopper assembly having a generally cylindrical shape and an at least partially non-functioning electronic chip with electrical contacts disposed in an endplate section of the generally cylindrical shape. The method further modifies the toner hopper assembly by affixing a replacement chip to the toner hopper assembly to form a modified toner hopper assembly. The replacement chip includes replacement electrical contacts which allow the replacement chip to communicate with a printer when the modified toner cartridge is installed in the printer.

Abstract:

A disposable grounding strap is provided. The disposable grounding strap includes an elongate conductive material uniformly conductive along its length. A first outer layer is coated with non-conductive heat sealable plastic on a side disposed adjacent to a first side of the conductive material, with the first outer layer having a width greater than the width of the conductive material. A second outer layer is coated with non-conductive heat sealable plastic on a side disposed adjacent to a second side of the conductive material, with the second outer layer having a width greater than the width of the conductive material. The non-conductive heat sealable plastic of the second outer layer is partially heat sealed to the non-conductive heat sealable plastic of the first outer layer along at least a portion of the length of the conductive material.

Abstract:

Recurrent neural networks (RNNs) can be visualized. For example, a processor can receive vectors indicating values of nodes in a gate of a RNN. The values can result from processing data at the gate during a sequence of time steps. The processor can group the nodes into clusters by applying a clustering method to the values of the nodes. The processor can generate a first graphical element visually indicating how the respective values of the nodes in a cluster changed during the sequence of time steps. The processor can also determine a reference value based on multiple values for multiple nodes in the cluster, and generate a second graphical element visually representing how the respective values of the nodes in the cluster each relate to the reference value. The processor can cause a display to output a graphical user interface having the first graphical element and the second graphical element.

A computing system provides distributed training of a neural network model. Explore phase options, exploit phase options, a subset of a training dataset, and a validation dataset are distributed to a plurality of computing devices. (a) Execution of the model by the computing devices is requested using the subset stored at each computing device. (b) A first result of the execution is received from a computing device. (c) Next configuration data for the neural network model is selected based on the first result and distributed to the computing device. (a) to (c) is repeated until an exploration phase is complete. (d) Execution of the neural network model is requested. (e) A second result is received. (f) Next configuration data is computed based on the second result and distributed to the computing device. (d) to (f) is repeated until an exploitation phase is complete. The next configuration data defines the model.
