A pickup truck tent camping system includes a platform assembly that is installed in the cargo box of the pickup truck such that it is suspended above the floor of the cargo box to establish storage space beneath the platform assembly. A tent assembly is installed over the platform assembly from the forward wall of the cargo box, across the length of the cargo box, and across the cargo box tailgate in the open position. A tent cover is installed over the tent assembly to provide additional protection from wind and rain. The tent cover also provides shade for the tent assembly. The tent cover includes a seam located near its midpoint that can be opened to expose side screens incorporated into the tent assembly. The pickup truck tent camping system also includes a travel cover that can be attached to a pair of rails installed along the top of the cargo box to protect the tent and any other camping gear while traveling to and from a campsite.
A multi-purpose cargo restraint apparatus that attaches to the top of cargo bed side rails of a pick-up truck and that is collapsible for stowage behind the truck driver's seat. The apparatus features five ways of restraining cargo: a collapsible cross beam assembly that spans the width of the truck cargo bed and that can be positioned to restrain the movement of large cargo items; tie down eye bolts near the side rails to attach cargo restraining lines; tie down bolts near the center of the cross beam assembly to attach additional lines or for restraining pets on a leash; a net or series of lines or the like, suspended between two vertical posts attached beneath the cross beam assembly for restraining the fore or aft movement of small cargo items; and a restraint for bicycles.
A cargo restraint anchor device that attaches at various positions along the top of the side rail of a pick-up truck cargo box and which can be configured and positioned to accommodate a variety of different types of cargo restraining apparatus. The anchor device comprises; an L-bracket, a C-bracket, and a bolt assembly that draws the brackets together. The L-bracket can be reversibly mounted. The L-bracket has an elongated vertical slot through which the barrel of the bolt protrudes. The elongated vertical slot also engages a tab on the lower portion of the C-bracket thereby maintaining alignment between the two brackets and allows the C-bracket to be positioned vertically with respect to the L-bracket. The L-bracket has one or more holes for the attachment of cargo restraining apparatus and/or accessories. The vertically adjustable C-bracket is adaptably capable of receiving the threaded end of the bolt.
A military weapon system consists of six major components; a weapon that impacts a target from the air, a video sensor/transmitter attached to the weapon, a tow line that connects the weapon and the video sensor/transmitter, a brake assembly, a remote receiver/recorder, and a transmission activation device. Following launch of the weapon by its air or ground based launch apparatus, the video sensor/transmitter is released from the weapon into the air stream surrounding the weapon and immediately moves aft due to aerodynamic drag forces. The tow line and brake assembly restrain the aft movement of the video sensor/transmitter causing it to achieve a position that is aft of and in trail behind the weapon. Immediately following weapon impact, a signal containing video imagery is transmitted to the remote receiver/recorder to enable post strike analysis of the weapon point-of-impact, weapon detonation, and initial target damage.
