Abstract:

This invention provides methods of preventing formation of, or treating, fibrotic lesions, including skin scars such as keloids and hypertrophic scars which comprise administering to the subject by one or more injection a compound which comprises a modified oligonucleotide, such as a modified antisense oligonucleotide, siRNA, or oligodeoxyribonucleotide, which inhibits expression of protein involved in fibrosis. Dosing of the antisense using an intradermal threading technique is also described.

Abstract:

A new electronic musical instrument and an associated notational method are disclosed. The new musical instrument is played using the right hand for depression of keys, as in conventional instruments, and also by applying finger pressure onto special sensing areas using the left hand. The left hand sensing areas or keys are located so as to be accessed without any significant lateral movement of the left hand. "Instructions" for playing the new instrument are conveyed to the user via directly translatable notational symbols printed on an associated surface. This cooperating system removes the mental translational and physical movement problems of conventional notation and conventional instruments by having the notational method directly convey the physical actions that are required and by simplifying the physical actions themselves. Such a cooperative system allows users to quickly play this instrument at advanced levels.

Abstract:

An apparatus for controlling access to a time division multiplexed (TDM) bus includes a frame address register having a plurality of storage registers for storing a plurality of frame addresses designated for use in communicating over said TDM bus. A frame address latch stores a current frame address. A frame comparator, coupled to the frame address register and the frame address latch, compares the designated frame addresses with the current frame address and produces a first signal indicative of the storage register containing a frame address matching the current frame address. A time slot register has a plurality of storage registers for storing a time slot number designated for use in communicating over said TDM bus. A time slot generator generates a current time slot number. A time slot comparator, coupled to the time slot register and the time slot generator compares the designated time slot number with the current time slot number and produces a second signal indicative of the storage register containing a slot number matching the current time slot number.
