Abstract:

A method ( ) of fabricating an electronic device ( ) formed on a semiconductor wafer. The method forms a dielectric layer ( ) in a fixed position relative to the wafer, where the dielectric layer comprises an atomic concentration of each of silicon, carbon, and oxygen. Abstract:

A method for serially polishing a plurality of semiconductor wafers, wherein a CMP apparatus having a first polishing pad and a second polishing pad is provided. A first slurry composition is disposed between the first polishing pad and a first wafer when the first wafer is in a first state, and a first polishing on the first wafer via the first polishing pad and first slurry composition is commenced at a first commencement time. A second slurry composition is disposed between the second polishing pad and a second wafer when the second wafer is in a second state, and a second polishing on the second wafer via the second polishing pad and second slurry is commenced at a second commencement time, wherein the second commencement time differs from the first commencement time by a first intermediate period. One or more of the first wafer and the second wafer is rinsed with a pre-rinse agent for at least a portion of the first intermediate period. The first polishing and second polishing are halted at substantially the same end time, therein placing the first wafer in the second state and the second wafer in a third state.

A system and method for ordering broadcast content using associated metadata. Metadata, which has been added to the broadcast transmission or otherwise transmitted is separated and transmitted to a personal communication device, preferably from the broadcast transmission receiver over a short-range radio frequency channel. Abstract:

Systems and methods for identifying a likelihood that a reservoir of a geological formation received a secondary charge of hydrocarbons of relatively very different thermal maturity of composition are provided. One method includes positioning a downhole acquisition tool in a wellbore in a geological formation and testing one or more fluid properties of the formation fluid. Data processing circuitry may identify whether a relationship of the one or more fluid properties exceeds a first threshold that indicates likely asphaltene instability. When this is the case, data processing circuitry may be used to model the geological formation using a realization scenario in which multiple charges of hydrocarbons of substantially different thermal maturity or substantially different composition, or both, filled a reservoir of the geological formation over geologic time.

Apparatus and methods for performing downhole testing. Example apparatus include a downhole tool string for conveying within a wellbore, the downhole tool string comprising an anchor device, a testing device, and a linear or rotary actuator. The anchor device maintains a portion of the downhole tool string in a predetermined position within the wellbore. The testing device is operable to receive a downhole sample from or test a subterranean formation surrounding the wellbore. The linear actuator is connected between the anchor device and testing device, and moves the testing device relative to the anchor device.

Abstract:

Methods and apparatus for operating a downhole tool within a wellbore adjacent a subterranean formation to pump contaminated fluid from the formation into the downhole tool while measuring first and second fluid properties of the contaminated fluid. The contaminated fluid comprises native fluid from the formation and a contaminant. The downhole tool is in communication with surface equipment located at surface. The downhole tool and/or surface equipment is operated to estimate a formation volume factor of the contaminated fluid based on at least one of the first and second fluid properties of the contaminated fluid. A linear relationship is then estimated between the first fluid property and a function that relates the first fluid property to the second fluid property and the estimated formation volume factor of the contaminated fluid. A fluid property of the contaminant is then estimated based on the estimated linear relationship.
